After BOWIE relays the information to TAI-MUI, TAI-MUI goes to ask CHING SUM about it, above which she even takes away his laptop computer. In order to escape the shooting range of WONG YI's cannon, CHEUNG PO-TSAI has his crew throw the goods stored in the cabin into the sea and detain TAI-MUI in the cabin. CHEUNG PO-TSAI then escorts TAI-MUI back to the water stockade for interrogation. While there, one of his subordinates, LAU SING, who used to follow the western pirates, uncovers that TAI-MUI can speak a foreign language, so he is convinced that TAI-MUI is actually a mixed-race girl. Attending the meeting of the League of the Seven Seas, WONG YI takes the initiative to approach the Commander, CHENG YAT, to file a complaint against CHEUNG PO-TSAI, accusing him of stealing the ship from the allies. Though CHEUNG PO-TSAI manages to rush back to reveal the whole truth, he is instead under the threat of WONG YI to expose that he broke his oath as a pirate and released the Qing general...

Her actions happen to be seen by CHEUNG PO-TSAI, who is also on board the ship. Later on, WONG YI discovers TAI-MUI and manages to apprehend her. Just as he is about to sexually assault her, fortunately, CHEUNG PO-TSAI goes to her rescue. Admiral FOK YEE-TAI of the Guangdong Navy has tried to eliminate the pirates for years but to no avail, on top of which his subordinate, the Naval Commander HON YUNG even suffered a catastrophic defeat where his whole army was completely wiped out in the battle. In light of this, HON YUNG comes up with an ingenious ploy, which is to arrest a couple of fishermen and return to the capital to take credit for the success. Knowing that Lady YIM will definitely back him up, YEE-TAI follows suit in an attempt to get away with it. YEE-TAI and HON YUNG falsely accuse some innocent fishermen of being the pirates, making a triumphant return. Although SIU-FU, a former navy soldier, discovers the truth and intends to teach them a lesson, he is hindered by a man who challenged him to a duel. The man turns out to be the Eleventh Prince, MAN-HO, a living embodiment of righteousness, and YEE-TAI's evildoing fills him with abhorrence, so he joins forces with eight censors to submit a memorial to the Emperor, filing a complaint against YEE-TAI. S01:E06 - Episode 6
MAN-HO is commissioned by Emperor JIAQING to eliminate the pirates in Guangdong, a crisis-ridden province. On the other hand, MAN-HO's mother, Lady SHUN meets with Lady YIM to plead for forgiveness after MAN-HO ratted out YEE-TAI to the Emperor. As the meeting of the League of the Seven Seas is around the corner, CHENG YAT somehow feels keenly that his ability falls short of his wishes, which greatly disturbs SHEK KIU and PO. CHEUNG PO-TSAI messes with TAI-MUI while returning the backpack to her, resulting in endless hilarious-riots. As for TAI-MUI, she still cannot adapt to the life in the Heroes’ Den. Suddenly, she recalls that she herself downloaded the County annals of Daoguang Reign to her mobile phone, through which she learns about the upcoming waterspout in four days, so she hopes to seize the opportunity to return to 2015 Hong Kong. Lady YIM, who was going to let YEE-TAI follow MAN-HO to the south, seeking to ruin his chances of getting any credit in the future, changes her mind and instead lets her attendant, TUNG-SUET, sneak into the palace, hiding among the palace maid trainees. The palace maid trainees encounter the striking phenomenon of a solar eclipse, during which HA SIM has an accident, fortunately she is rescued by MAN-HO in the nick of time. Meanwhile, seeing that TUNG-SUET is hiding among the palace maid trainees, LAI GONG GONG cannot help feeling startled...
S01:E07 - Episode 7
Lady YIM invites Lady SHUN, it seems, out for flower viewing and pomelos eating; she simply takes advantage of this to taunt her. Lady YIM even notes that she has already arranged a palace maid for MAN-HO. With LAI GONG GONG pointing out why Lady YIM demoted TUNG-SUET to palace maid trainee is to plant a spy around MAN-HO, Lady SHUN cannot help feeling disturbed by the issue with regard to MAN-HO. Though having fallen victim to TUNG-SUET's setup, HA SIM still manages to claim the ultimate victory during the competition against other palace maid trainees, so MAN-HO eventually chooses HA SIM as his new palace maid. Lady YIM bribes HA SIM to be her informant in an attempt to pry into MAN-HO's secrets. As for WONG YI, he seems to have an axe to grind since he's been seeking to become the next Commander. When it comes down to whether WONG YI or CHENG YAT will claim the ultimate victory in the "Seven Seas Tournament", CHEUNG PO-TSAI and the others are well aware that CHENG YAT's advanced age would preclude him from winning the championship. As CHEUNG PO-TSAI is rather perturbed by the idea of WONG YI becoming the next Commander, Scholar SUEN suggests that the "Nine Dragons Pearl" could help boost CHENG YAT's strength. Seeing that it's the birthday of the Nine Dragons the next day, CHENG YAT intends to seize the opportunity to go to worship in the Nine Dragons Temple, praying for blessings from the "Nine Dragons Pearl". At that moment, TAI-MUI comes to realize that the mountain behind her is exactly the location of the Nine Dragons Temple, where the waterspout is going to take place.
S01:E08 - Episode 8
TAI-MUI goes to scout the Nine Dragons Temple, during which she misconceives that SHEK KIU committed adultery with another man. While all of the pirates are releasing the sky lanterns for blessings, TAI-MUI writes her wishes on a lantern; whereas CHEUNG PO-TSAI also prays in hopes of finding himself a perfect match soon. Across the bustling festival site of the Nine Dragons Temple fair, LAU SING takes out a strongman pill and hands it to CHENG YAT, claiming that it can help boost his strength. Upon her arrival at the Nine Dragons Temple at night, TAI-MUI spots the waterspout off the coast and becomes so excited that she knocks over her backpack and breaks her nail polish bottle, the chemical residues of which leaks out of the package into the cup of the shrine located in the lower level. Meanwhile, CHENG YAT and the others also arrive there to look for the Nine Dragons Pearl, praying for blessings. While there, LAU SING notices that the water inside the cup turns red. Just as CHENG YAT is about to drink the sweet dew from Heaven, CHEUNG PO-TSAI leaps forward to try it out in his stead, almost losing his life. Though dashing to the waterspout location, TAI-MUI is still worried about CHEUNG PO-TSAI's safety, so she determinedly goes back to give him first aid. Despite MAN-HO's repeated submissions of the proposals on cracking down the persistent pirates, the Emperor keeps giving him the cold shoulder, which greatly aggravates MAN-HO. All at once he loses his temper, unexpectedly, HA SIM bursts into the room at the same time holding the dishes in her hands, leading to an awkward moment.
S01:E09 - Episode 9
Though getting an earful from MAN-HO, HA SIM still prays to Goddess Guan Yin for MAN-HO's well-being, which greatly impresses Lady SHUN. HA SIM delivers the dishes to MAN-HO and leaves his room, after which MAN-HO enters the room and notices that one page of his proposal to eliminate the pirates is missing, which makes him suspicious of HA SIM. After interrogating HA SIM, MAN-HO gets to know that she is under Lady YIM's instruction to keep an eye on him, so he immediately kicks her out of his residence. YEE-TAI does not have any children, but fortunately for him, he adopts FOOK-CHEUNG as his son from the clan, and he takes his son to pay a visit to Lady YIM. When Lady SHUN tries to comfort HA SIM, HA SIM instead recalls that the missing page of the proposal might end up in the garden. In order to clear her name, she goes to the garden to look for the missing page. TUNG-SUET, who is looking after FOOK-CHEUNG, gets distracted while chit-chatting with HON YUNG, resulting in FOOK-CHEUNG's sudden death after he slips and falls. Endeavoring to protect TUNG-SUET, HON YUNG out of the blue blames the child's death on HA SIM, who is therefore falsely accused of murdering FOOK-CHEUNG!
S01:E10 - Episode 10
Despite the fact that HA SIM has a gun pointed at her head by YEE-TAI, Lady SHUN forcefully takes away HA SIM in an attempt to bring her back to her palace. Suddenly, Lady YIM shows up, triggering a power struggle between her and Lady SHUN. Not wanting HA SIM to fall victim to the murderous menace of YEE-TAI, MAN-HO tries his best to safeguard her. During the ensuing stand-off between the two parties, LAI GONG GONG appears in time to extricate them from the dilemma. CHEUNG PO-TSAI goes to have a word with SHEK KIU, discussing with her how to secure CHENG YAT a second term as the Commander of the Seven Seas. Through their conversation, SHEK KIU senses that CHEUNG PO-TSAI seems to have a thing for TAI-MUI. Later on, SHEK KIU picks up a note indicating that she committed adultery. Suspecting that it's TAI-MUI who did this, SHEK KIU assembles all the other pirates to hunt down TAI-MUI, who eventually escaped narrowly. After the saga draws to a close, TAI-MUI uncovers that the Nine Dragons Pearl is in fact a speedboat engine. MAN-HO holds a military parade as soon as he arrives at Guangdong, only to find out that the weapons equipped by the soldiers have become worn out due to YEE-TAI's corruption. To assess the morale in the military, MAN-HO commands to expose the troops to harsh sunlight and heavy rain. Meanwhile, HA SIM is innocently praying for blessings for MAN-HO.

Though MAN-HO successfully lifts the morale of the troops, YEE-TAI, who seeks revenge on his son's death, schemes to have MAN-HO fail the mission of wiping out the pirates and have him executed by the Emperor. Worse yet, HON YUNG starts sowing discord among the navy, maneuvering two groups of the soldiers into infighting. Exhausted both mentally and physically, MAN-HO finds himself not only at his wits' end but also under fire from all angles, above which he even contracts Malaria, pushing him to the brink of death. Seeing that the relationship between CHEUNG PO-TSAI and TAI-MUI is developing quickly, LAU SING and the others are all thrilled with joy thinking that TAI-MUI will soon marry CHEUNG PO-TSAI. The family members of the pirates are busy sending gold jewellery to TAI-MUI as gifts, congratulating her on becoming PO's soon-to-be wife. In spite of his sickness, MAN-HO still tries to handle the routine affairs, however, and the conflicts between the two groups of the soldiers have gone far beyond his control. In view of this, HA SIM goes to the naval barracks without permission to have a word with YEE-TAI and HON YUNG, during which YEE-TAI wants HA SIM to pay with her life for his son. That night, HON YUNG finds HA SIM, threatening to rape her.
S01:E12 - Episode 12
MAN-HO assigns HON YUNG to lead two battalions to fight against WONG YI and his men. After learning that WONG YI is not in the water stockade, HON YUNG suggests that they could just randomly grab a couple of weak and unimportant sidekicks to brush off MAN-HO so as to let YEE-TAI take credit for the success. Meanwhile, SHEK KIU and the others hear that WONG YI is going to take six concubines, so LAU SING advises that they could launch an ambush at the time of the banquet held by WONG YI, to which everyone agrees. After turning down CHEUNG PO-TSAI's love proposal, TAI-MUI is determined to travel back in time to Hong Kong, whereas lovelorn CHEUNG PO-TSAI decides to release TAI-MUI and call it even. CHEUNG PO-TSAI leads his men to the Double Happiness Restaurant, where WONG YI holds the banquet and sneaks into the newlywed's room, trying to attack WONG YI. On the other hand, TAI-MUI arrives at Guangzhou, where she runs into SHUK-KWAN, who just escaped. While helping SHUK-KWAN flee, TAI-MUI recognizes that SHUK-KWAN is actually one of her ancestors. Having fully recovered from his illness, MAN-HO hears news of HON YUNG's victory over WONG YI after attacking his den, so he decides to give vent to the anger on behalf of the masses who have suffered enough due to the violence and disaster inflicted by the pirates, leading a mass execution of pirates in public right in front of the naval barracks. With great courage and superb skills, CHEUNG PO-TSAI and the others challenge MAN-HO to a flying-dagger duel.
S01:E13 - Episode 13
Seeing that MAN-HO and the other navy sailors lead a mass execution of pirates in public right in front of the naval barracks, CHEUNG PO-TSAI and the others are utterly consumed with rage. Throwing a dagger to challenge MAN-HO, they are determined to combat against the Guangdong Navy. Ahead of his departure, CHEUNG PO-TSAI hands an amulet of protection to TAI-MUI, who surprisingly recognizes that it is actually the old silver coin that will save her life in two hundred years, marking the beginning of their serendipitous romance! MAN-HO commands HON YUNG to battle against CHEUNG PO-TSAI, but HON YUNG gets cold feet and makes an excuse that he sustained severe injuries. So, MAN-HO tells HA SIM to use the herbal medicine to attend to HON YUNG's injuries without knowing that HON YUNG takes advantage of the situation in an attempt to sexually assault her. Flying into a rage, MAN-HO kills HON YUNG, making HA SIM feel so touched. With the pirates pressing on towards the naval barracks, MAN-HO tries to fend them off by firing the cannons, only to find out that their cannons are all out-of-date weapons that have a relatively short range. Seeing that neither commanders nor sailors follow his orders, plus the vast maritime disparity between them and the pirates, MAN-HO becomes so helpless. On the other hand, CHENG YAT lets CHEUNG PO-TSAI succeed him as the Commander-in-Chief, hoping that he will make a name for himself. As for MAN-HO, he knows very well that it's impossible for them to defend against the pirates' cannon fire due to the lack of battleships, so he orders the vanguard fleet to form a single line formation. Having no idea as to what kind of formation it is, CHEUNG PO-TSAI dares not to make a move...

It turns out that Lady YIM is pregnant with the Emperor's child but she deliberately keeps a low profile. Knowing his days are numbered, the Crown Prince sincerely hopes that Emperor JIAQING would strip him of his crown as heir to the throne, and find another suitable successor so as to avoid the fratricidal bloodshed. Though Prince MAN-HONG and the others want Emperor JIAQING to impose severe punishment on MAN-HO, Emperor JIAQING is entirely preoccupied and focused with thoughts of Crown Prince's illness. Seeking advice from LAI GONG GONG, Lady SHUN would like to know how to make Emperor JIAQING bestow the quinine on MAN-HO to save his life; whereas LAI GONG GONG advises that she'd better go to plead with Lady YIM. Once again, Prince MAN-HONG and the others beg Emperor JIAQING to impose severe punishment on MAN-HO, so Emperor JIAQING cannot help scolding his sons. To express his gratitude to TAI-MUI, he pardons her for engaging in piracy activities, but TAI-MUI doesn't appreciate it at all, above which she even delivers a sharp rebuke to MAN-HO by referring to him as vindictive, therefore she should be merciless towards him. For this matter, MAN-HO starts arguing with TAI-MUI, who then advises him entering into negotiations with the pirates. At that moment, SIU-FU comes to report that earlier, he along with his battalion ran into CHEUNG PO-TSAI, who was on the run, and after engaging in a skirmish with each other, CHEUNG PO-TSAI sustained injuries and fled. CHENG YAT has become old and frail, which places him at a disadvantage. In view of this, SHEK KIU gives him a hand, which on the contrary renders CHENG YAT disqualified from the competition. In the nick of time, CHEUNG PO-TSAI rushes back to duke it out with WONG YI. Just as CHEUNG PO-TSAI is looking to be on the verge of defeat, surprisingly, WONG YI's hand is bitten by a venomous snake, on the heels of which Siamese pirate WUSONA makes a sudden appearance.
