Season 6
S06:E01 - Episode 1
Eight socially awkward Geeks have hit the jackpot, finding themselves in Las Vegas, where, in a surprising twist, they’re coupled with American Beauties.
The Geeks are dared to bare all, performing for hundreds of screaming women in the renowned Vegas strip show – The Thunder From Down Under. After the revealing show, the audience crowns Boy Genius, Nick, the challenge winner.
Then, the Beauties’ knowledge of Australia is put to the test, when they’re asked to deliver informative and entertaining presentations to a live audience at the Hard Rock Café. The audience votes Wannabe Trophy Wife, Chrystal, and Aspiring Beautician, Nicole, as the top two presenters and they’re afforded the honour and privilege of meeting an Aussie legend – Olivia Newton John. After a quick Australiana themed Q&A with the girls, Olivia declares Nicole the challenge winner.
The winning pairs are asked to nominate a couple each to save from this week’s elimination quiz. Nick & Candice save Tate & Rachel, whilst Nicole & Alexander save Dylan & Toneata. The remaining four couples then go head-to-head in the quiz, where ultimately, Bowen & Jennifer are eliminated from the competition, but not before Bowen is treated to the first makeover of the series.
S06:E02 - Episode 2
The honeymoon is just getting started as the Beauties and Geeks return from Las Vegas, moving in the brand new Beauty and the Geek Mansion! James Tobin is quick to welcome our couples and let them know about the upcoming challenges for the week. The girls will be mastering mathematics while the boys must pucker up and kiss a random stranger passionately.
Heading into the boys challenge many are faced with their first kiss, and all are confronted by this incredibly intimate moment with a complete stranger. In the end all seven Geeks successfully get their kiss, much to the dismay of Chrystal who during the challenge realizes she’s developed feelings for James! But all is not as it seems, the next morning the “complete strangers” are revealed to actually be the Aussie Beauties!
That’s right, the Geeks now have two beauties but they can’t keep both. At the end of the week the Geeks will have to decide whether they want their Aussie or American Beauty to stay in the mansion and continue their journey with.
To help this decision along the Geeks will immediately each depart on dates with their respective Aussie beauties to help get to know them. The dates range from awkward to less awkward and mainly leave the geeks more conflicted than ever on how to pick between two beautiful women, an alien experience to say the least. Chrystal continues to worry, as she’s not been able to muster the courage to tell James how she feels and fears being swapped out before getting the opportunity to do so.
For the American Beauties’ challenge this week they’ll be lowered into a tank filled with creepy crawly sea-creatures (including yabbies, turtles and eels) as they recite their three times tables as high as possible in three minutes. The Beauty to reach the highest number will win immunity from the upcoming swap and in turn automatically eliminate their Aussie counterpart. Amber is a strong favourite to win but bails as the eels are unleashed leading to Nicole clinching immunity.
Heading into the elimination with Nicole safe it’s farewell to Sara Alex’s Aussie beauty. In a surprising number of eliminations we find four of our Geeks swapping out their American beauties for home grown Aussies as Dylan, Oliver, Shaun and Tate exchange Toneata, Amber, Vanessa and Rachel for Hanna, Frances, Brooke and Emily respectively. It’s just Nick and James who stick with their original American girls much to the relief of Candice and especially Chrystal who hopes to reveal her feelings for James sooner rather than later.
S06:E03 - Episode 3
This week the Beauties will be tested on their history knowledge, whereas the Geeks need to learn the art of conversation & how to be cool.
For the Beauty challenge they have to host a high tea with an historian whilst engaging in intellectual conversation. Candice impresses her historian best with her Ancient Rome discussion.
The Geeks challenge requires them to muster up the confidence to ask and get ‘selfie’ photos with women in Hyde Park. Tate successfully puts his shyness behind him and secures the most ‘selfies’ in the 10-minute time limit.
James writes Chrystal a poem to try and win over her affections. Chrystal is smitten with the James’ poem and reveals to him that she also likes him. Their new relationship is sealed with a kiss.
The two winning couples each nominate a couple to face the elimination quiz. Candice & Nick nominate Brooke & Shaun whilst Emily & Tate nominate Hanna & Dylan.
Hanna & Dylan score 2/4 over Brooke & Shaun’s 1/4. Brooke & Shaun are then the second couple eliminated from the competition.
S06:E04 - Episode 4
This week the Beauties’ knowledge of Science & Design is put to the test, when they’re asked to deliver informative presentations on either Space, Transportation or the Environment to a group of ten-year-old students at the Powerhouse Museum. Nicole proves herself a force to be reckoned with, taking out her third challenge win for the series.
The Geeks are pushed to channel their inner Calvin Klein, by writing & directing a commercial for their very own geeky scent. Guest judge, Kris Smith, provides mentoring and guidance and ultimately chooses Oliver as the winner.
As a reward for winning the Geeks’ Challenge, Oliver is given the first makeover at the Beauty & the Geek mansion. His dramatic transformation has the Beauties in tears and the Geeks floored by his newfound confidence and self-esteem.
Each winning couple is asked to nominate one team to face the elimination quiz. Oliver & Frances choose lovebirds, Chrystal & James whilst Nicole & Alexander nominate Dylan & Hanna.
Ultimately, it is Dylan & Hanna who are eliminated from the competition.

James Tobin joins in the fun, dropping by to let our finale four couples what their challenges will entail this week. The girls will be getting in touch with their animal instincts on the topic of Zoology while the boys attempt to answer the age old question of what women want in a series of live advertorials on Seven’s “The Morning Show.”
First up the Beauties set off for a zoology themed quiz in which they’re questioned regarding their knowledge of the animal kingdom. The correct answer will not be enough to proceed to the second round of this quiz. First the beauties are presented with a cloche each, the contents of which must be consumed in order to stay in the running. Up first is a pig’s ear, followed by a fish eye and mealworms, the last of which proves too much for Candice and Frances, both being eliminated in the third round. This leaves Emily and Nicole to battle it out in the tiebreaker round ultimately leading to Nicole’s victory.
It’s not over yet though, as James Tobin unleashes the return of all previous beauty and the geek couples. That’s right, along with recently departed Chrystal and James the remaining contestants welcome Dylan, Hanna, Shaun, Brooke, Bowen and Jennifer back into the Beauty and the Geek mansion. Only one of the returning couples will make it back into the mansion officially though. This week instead of an elimination quiz there’ll be a salvation quiz. The two couples nominated by the respective winners of the Beauty and Geek challenges. This means Alexander and Nicole currently hold the power to nominate one couple while the winner of the upcoming Geek challenge will nominate the other.
On top of that we’ll be treated to the most extreme makeovers of the season as Dylan and Shaun are finally granted a reprise from their Geeky appearance. These will be no ordinary makeovers though as Brooke and Hanna are put in the driver’s seat taking complete control over their Geek’s transformations into their own hands. Shaun’s lucked out, Brooke being a hairdresser and all but Dylan is in for a rockier ride with Hanna having never cut hair in her life.
Both makeovers end up resounding successes with everyone blown away by Dylan and Shaun’s sheik transformations readying them to take on the world with a new boost of confidence to go with their looks.
The Geeks head to their challenge on Seven’s “The Morning Show” in which they must sell a series of products to women for women on a live advertorial. The products range from “The Bra Bag” to the “She Wizz” but in the end Nick steals the show winning he and Candice the ability to nominate the second couple for the salvation quiz.
Shaun and Brooke are awarded a chance at salvation by Nick and Candice along with Dylan and Hanna by Alexander and Nicole, both nomination couples believing these two had not gotten the opportunity to properly explore all they could get from the ‘Beauty and the Geek’ experience. We once again farewell Chrystal, James, Bowen and Jennifer as the remaining returning contestants head into the elimination quiz.
It’s a case of history repeating itself as Dylan and Hanna face down Shaun and Brooke once again to earn their place back in the mansion. Though a close quiz which comes down to a tie-breaker question it’s Dylan and Hanna who are able to inch their way back into the competition and back in the running for that $100,000 cash prize as we bid farewell to Shaun and Brooke for the final time.

The beauties are given the task of teaching English to international students. Frances, with her knowledge of phonetics, presents the most factual lesson, which wins her the challenge.
The geeks compete against a male celebrity to win over a lady just with their words and charm. Dylan, Alex and Nick all beat their celebrity opponent and in a tiebreaker round, Nick manages to charm a lady the most over the other two geeks.
The two winning couples each nominate a couple to face the elimination quiz. Frances & Oliver nominate Nicole & Alexander whilst Candice & Nick nominate Hanna & Dylan.
Nicole & Alexander score 4/4 over Hanna & Dylans’ 3/4. Hanna & Dylan are then eliminated from the competition for a second time this series.
S06:E08 - Episode 8
It’s the final week and our top 4 are enjoying breakfast by the pool when our host, James, arrives at the mansion to explain what stands between them and the $100,000 prize.
In the grand finale, everything the Geeks have been learning throughout the series will be put to the test when they are sent on blind dates…with an added degree of difficulty. As well as having to wow their dates, they’ll have to seamlessly integrate awkward tasks, which their Beauties will feed to them via in-ear devices. From performing Incey Wincey Spider to kissing feet, the tasks will test the Geek’s ability to remain cool, calm and collected on an already nerve-wracking first date.
For the Beauties, it’s the ultimate test of their public speaking and general knowledge when each goes head-to-head with a high school debating champion.
In the end, it is Nick who excels on the blind date and Nicole who wows the crowd at the Great Debate, and so, Nick & Candice and Nicole & Alexander are ssent traight through to final quiz…but, in a twist that nobody saw coming, the competition is not over for Frances & Oliver and Emily & Tate yet. One spin of the roulette wheel will determine their fate and add a third couple to the final quiz. Oliver & Frances bet on red and luck is on their side, which means that Emily & Tate are eliminated from the competition.
The final quiz tests each couples’ knowledge of their partner and ultimately, it is Nick & Candice who know each other best, correctly answering the most number of quiz questions, which sees them crowned Beauty & the Geek for 2014 and earns them the $100,000 prize.
