JOSHUA DAVIES - THE GIRLFRIEND SLAYER Rebecca Aylward(15) and Joshua Davies (16), from South Wales, had had an on/off relationship over 2 years. Johsua was clever and sporty, often the centre of attention. But the relationship was very controlling with Joshua wanting to see Rebecca's diary. After the couple split In October 2010, Joshua asked to meet Rebecca, she thought he wanted to go out with her again. She went to Cardiff to buy new clothes for the occasion but her body was found the next day in woods by a quarry, her skull had been crushed by a blows to the head. In 2011, Joshua was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment but maintained his innocence - until 2018 when he confessed in prison .We explore why he's confessed and what it means to the family.
