A large number of protesters accuse Chin Chow Property Agency of defrauding money, during which Chiu-Yung and King-Chi come up with a ruse to quell the incident. When news of the developer's acquisition of the old building located on Sze Long Na Road for rebuilding is released, King-Chi suggests jumping on it immediately, above which she even forces Chiu-Yung to help kick out Chi-Kei by taking advantage of the fact that the latter is not in Hong Kong and unable to attend the shareholders meeting. During their dispute, King-Chi suffers from acute appendicitis and is hospitalized. Prior to her surgery, she learns that the old building's owner Granny Sam has returned to Hong Kong, so she seizes an opportunity to escape from the hospital. Granny Sam's property turns out to be King-Chi's former residence. Recalling her past that she was abandoned by her own father, King-Chi endures pain and tries to persuade Granny Sam to sell her the property. Chiu-Yung rushes there to send King-Chi back to hospital, but midway through, the excruciating pain causes King-Chi to pass out. During unconsciousness, King-Chi out of the blue confesses her love to Chiu-Yung.
