Once the heart of the motor industry and the American Dream, the modern city of Detroit, Michigan resembles little of its former self. Migration out of Detroit began in the 1950s when the city lost 10% of its population. Since that time, the city’s population and overall health has sadly only dwindled. As crime sweeps over the city daily, can, and will, Detroit ever rise to shine again?
