S01:E01 - An Unexpected Alliance
When a popular rap artist is kidnapped by a maniac, investigator Nastya takes on the case. Seeking the help of a medical professional, Nastya makes an unexpected alliance with Dr. Lemke. The department later offers Dr. Lemke to take part in criminal investigations, but he proposes an even greater idea to Nastya: to form a band of knowledgeable scientists and call it Academia.
S01:E02 - Building the Team
Nastya and Dr. Lemke begin to develop their team, searching for the right candidates to join. Their first candidate, Oskana, is an IT specialist. However, while Dr. Lemke advocates for her, Nastya finds it uncomfortable to hire a prior criminal into the team. Dr. Lemke tries to put his family life back together.
S01:E03 - Peace and Quiet
The team begins to gain momentum, adding another candidate, Eduard, for the biologist position. Unidentified remains are found in a hidden place named “Peace and Quiet”, but who is behind the murders? The gang runs into a young chemist named Shurik and just might acquire his skills for the good of the team.
S01:E04 - The Psychologist
When two construction workers stumble upon a corpse, the gang quickly assembles to solve the mystery. Nastya and Dr. Lemke inquire on an additional member to the team: a psychologist named Dr. Rotkin. With the help of Dr. Rotkin, Dr. Lemke discovers evidence that changes the entire landscape of the case.
S01:E05 - The Black Boar
Two hunters find a lifeless corpse in the creek during their search for the infamous black boar. While it seems that the victim’s life was taken in a heat of passion, last minute evidence proves otherwise.
S01:E06 - A Day on the Lake
A father and son spending a day on the lake go fishing, but reel up an appendage rather than any fish. Nastya spends some time with Dr. Lemke and his son out of the office while his wife is out of town. Dr. Rotkin finds that a classic toy may just be the key to cracking the case.
S01:E07 - The Flower
An elderly woman seeks help after a flower, with money attached, is delivered to her home. The only problem is, this ritual was performed by her deceased lover. Nastya urges Dr. Lemke not to let his past ghosts haunt his future.
S01:E08 - The Mirror
A heroin overdose leaves a perfumer dead in his bathtub, with a suicide note written on the mirror. Only a secret code can crack the mystery behind the case. Dr. Lemke is disappointed when his wife delays her return home.
S01:E09 - Beneath the Sheets
Before two lovers have the chance to get intimate in a hotel room, a dead body is found beneath the sheets. When the body is initially identified as an infamous actor, the investigative committee calls upon Academia. However, the circumstances may not be what they seem. After more disappointment from his wife, Dr. Lemke begins to see more in Nastya.
S01:E10 - The Street Race
During a street race, the son of a media mogul ends up in a fatal accident. However, this is not the first death that has occurred in the wealthy Bolshakov’s family in the past year. The team will have to sort out the correlation between their deaths and the reasons behind them.
S01:E11 - The Debt
A young man pleading for a large sum of money causes an argument with his father, leaving his childhood home out of anger. However, he doesn’t have the chance to return after he’s beaten into a coma. The plot thickens as heroin is found on the victim, but was the debt his to repay?
S01:E12 - The Garden
A gardener working in a local park accidently discovers a corpse in the soil. The victim was a genius of an artist, with many jealous foes. However, jealousy may not have been the motive in this case. Nastya runs into an old friend.
S01:E13 - The Fire
A small shop goes on fire, leaving the owner dead in the process. Oskana discovers some critical information, receiving praise from her superiors. Dr. Lemke’s and Nastya’s relationship becomes tense as she becomes more involved with Denis.
S01:E14 - The Crash
A devastating car crash occurs, leaving the driver in a coma. However, he’s not the only victim in the car. The case takes a turn when performance enhancing drugs are found in the victim’s apartment.
S01:E15 - Blood Art
While the team visits a local art gallery, Dr. Lemke discovers blood on one of the paintings. A young woman disappeared from the university recently, but even more incriminating evidence found in the art studio suggests she was murdered. Shurik is given a draft notice.
S01:E16 - Difficult Decisions
What seems to be a regular case takes a complex turn, leaving the team in disarray. When a second murder is committed, the gang realizes their dealing with a serial killer. Dr. Lemke makes a difficult decision.
S01:E17 - An Old Friend
A man covered in blood is caught asleep behind the wheel of his car. While a case like this may not require Academia’s attention, it is recognized that the man behind the wheel was once an apprentice of Nastya’s father. Although Nastya wants to trust her father’s old friend, Dr. Lemke and Denis think otherwise.
S01:E18 - The Drowned Man
A young couple swimming are startled when then stumble across a drowned body in the lake. The team is assigned the case due to a string of similar occurrences in recent weeks.
S01:E19 - The Robbery
A string of jewelry store robberies has the team curious, yet the main suspect’s ability to map out a complex plan is questionable. Nastya and Dr. Lemke are started by a hidden explosive. Although Alla attempts to rebuild her relationship with Dr. Lemke, it may be too late.
S01:E20 - The Serial Killer
A student is found dead during a dark ritual in an abandoned building. Although, she is not the first and, by the team’s predictions, will not be the last. The team must work quickly to find the serial killer, before more students begin to disappear. Shurik becomes closer to Nastya’s younger sister. Oska denies any help as her trial creeps closer.
