Kojak

When a break-in at a jewelry store turns into murder and a double hostage situation, Kojak makes a deal to exchange himself for one of the hostages. Once inside the store, Kojak realizes that the thief had bigger plans – the diamond storage facility upstairs – and that he’s dealing with a master thief named Robert Mercher. Kojak works on Mercher, who reveals that he’s a hostage himself – he’s been straight since getting out of prison, but now his wife is being held at gunpoint until he completes this heist for her captor. Mercher enlists Kojak’s help to get back to his house in time to save her life. Meanwhile, Detective Emily Patterson joins the precinct under a cloud of mystery, but soon proves herself worthy of her badge during the hostage crisis.
