The deathbed confession of a petty criminal to the murder of a teenage girl leaves DS Ronnie Brooks shaken to the core as he is forced to reopen a case he thought he had put to bed fourteen years ago. At the time of her murder, the girl’s wealthy businessman father was accused and convicted of killing her. Fourteen years on, a considerably more sober Ronnie must question whether more than his personal life fell victim to his addiction.
