In this second heat, 6 artists set out to capture the Palladian splendour of West Wycombe park, home to the Dashwood Family for three centuries.

In this third heat, 6 artists set out to tackle Hackney's West Reservoir, an open water sports centre tucked away in North East London

Overlooking a garden of overwhelminggreenery ,with the Weald of Kent stretching on beyond,are six more contestants hoping to create an artwork that catches the eye of judges

Stephen Mangan and Joan Bakewell are back with a brand new series of Landscape Artist of the Year, traveling the country on the hunt for the nation's best landscape artist.

This week Stephen Mangan and Joan Bakewell are at the home of the 2012 Olympics for the semi final of Landscape Artist of the Year.

Thousands of artists from all over the UK have battled with brushes, rollers, paints and pencils for just 3 places in the final.

We follow this year's Landscape Artist of the Year winner as they head to Snowdonia and complete a £10,000 commission to commemorate Dinas Oleu for the National Trust.
