Documentary,History,Adventure
Murray, Adam and their team travel back to Bemsbach, Papua New Guinea to recover the P-38 Lightning they found during their first mission. They must find a way to get a bulldozer up the Daru River then several miles inland to the crash site. Then it’s dismantling the plane – so it can be best reassembled – and getting it back to Murray’s shop. While they’re on the island, they’ll make their way to the western half, to the nation of Irian Jaya, to hunt down a group of Japanese fighters, including a Kawasaki Tony rumored to be there. They’ll recover it to use in the restoration of another Tony that Murray’s been working on for several years. When this one’s complete it will be priceless – the only flying Tony in the world.

Once in seawater, plastic absorbs toxic substances known as POPs, or persistent organic pollutants. This process allows toxins to accumulate in a density a million times higher than normal. What happens when fish and seabirds mistake the plastic for food? Scientists have found evidence that these toxins are entering the food chain, and ultimately winding up in our bodies. Worse still, plastic doesnt biodegrade. Instead, it becomes trapped in massive maelstroms of garbage. Scientists have identified five of these so-called gyres. A few of them are larger than Spain and Portugal combined. The worlds biggest dumps are at sea. This is what we kno
