S01:E02 - Tarpan
Repainting an Ancient Picture - This is the story of mankind's attempt to bring back a horse from the dead. The Tarpan roamed in wild herds across Europe for millennia, yet the breed became extinct in the 19th century. Today the careful work of international teams is bringing a small herd of genetically bred, modern Tarpan to the remote mountains of eastern Europe. Here the horse faces a whole new challenge, struggling to become wild again.
S01:E03 - Talking to the Air
The Horses of the Last Forbidden Kingdom - Journey to the top of the world and be drawn into a land beyond time and the medieval culture of the Mustang in Nepal. This is the Shangri La of horsedom, where wealth is measured in hoofed gold and the quality of a man and his history is reflected in the honor he shows to his herd. The film features the daring riders of this high Himalayan region - a culture vanishing before our eyes.
