S02:E01 - The Art of Giving
After winning his battle with cancer, a brave 8-year-old boy creates a fundraising calendar with his own art, and raises thousands of dollars for cancer research. The Makeover Wish team surprises him with a bedroom of his own, with plenty of space for his new creations.
S02:E02 - The Safety Net
A diligent business owner and mother of four opens her home to an orphaned teenage boy. She chokes back tears as the Makeover Wish Team surprises her with a beautiful bedroom and a cozy living room the whole family can enjoy.
S02:E03 - The Blind Reader
A woman shocked by the poor reading skills of many children in her community creates a literacy program. Now over 300 children attend her weekly reading sessions; and are on hand for her living room transformation.
S02:E04 - Pads Pal
For years this dedicated volunteer has been breeding assistance dogs for the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society. These extraordinary animals go on to help special needs adults live independently. When the Makeover Wish team arrives to transform her living room and dining room, she is overcome with emotion.
S02:E05 - Rick the Rescuer
Hundreds of lives have been saved thanks to the efforts of this volunteer Search and Rescue team manager, Rick. In this episode, Rick's team takes charge to help create a stunning family room to relax in.
S02:E06 - The Generous Carpenter
In their spare time, these former school teachers have helped repair many houses in their town, including a massive renovation to a home for adults with intellectual disabilities. This couple is overcome with emotion as The Makeover Wish team thanks them with a magnificent basement.
S02:E07 - Speaking From the Heart
A motivational speaker with Cerebral Palsy helps others overcome challenges and turn them into opportunities. As someone who was bullied as a child, he’s passionate about making a difference in the lives of kids. The Makeover Wish team makes a difference in his life by giving his neglected home a much-needed face-lift.
S02:E08 - Big Sister, Little Sister
For many years she has been a supportive “Big Sister”, mentoring young women in her community. Now one of her former “Little Sisters” teams up with the Makeover Wish team to convert her rec room into a fun hangout space to enjoy with her current and future “Little Sisters”.
S02:E09 - Life Saving Boys
Two brothers combine bravery and swimming skills to save their injured great grandfather from a drowning in a hotel swimming pool. The Makeover Wish team creates a cool new rec room for these young heroes.
S02:E10 - Safe Base
For over 30 years, Barb Fuentes has run a non-profit daycare center for young children in a low socioeconomic neighborhood. The Makeover Wish team arrives to transform her bare bones community trailer into a fantastic space for kids to go to get help with homework and spend time in a fun, safe environment.
S02:E11 - Everyone Can Play
This award winning coach and athlete is passionate about giving kids from all backgrounds the opportunity to participate in sports. That’s why she launched a Kidsport Chapter in her community – a charity that provides grants and gear to kids from low-income households. Now we grant Wendy her wish by transforming her dated bedroom into a European styled boutique hotel room.
S02:E12 - The Dang Gang
For many years, school teacher and guidance counselor Joe Dang has been a surrogate father to a group of rag tag immigrant kids growing up on the east side of Vancouver. Now grown men, this close group of friends – known as the “Dang Gang” – are nominating their beloved mentor with a makeover of his rec room.
S02:E13 - The Optimist
After losing her leg to cancer almost 20 years ago, this woman has devoted her time and energy to volunteering in the community. Now, the Makeover Team is focusing their energy on turning her dated and awkwardly shaped living room into an attractive, functional space.
