While at school in Madrid, Tessa learns of her father's death and leaves immediately. She discovers it is her fate to become "The Queen of Swords".
S01:E02 - Death to the Queen
The Queen of Swords is shot while investigating. She continues to search and discovers the men being forced to labor as slaves for Montoya's mine.
S01:E03 - Fever
An epidemic strikes Tessa's village. When Montoya is stricken, Captain Grisham steals Dr. Helm's supply of medicine, blaming the Queen of Swords.
S01:E04 - Vengeance
When Don Aguilera is shot, his son assumes the culprit is Don Fuentes. The Queen of Swords intercepts the assassin sneaking into Dr. Helm's surgery.
S01:E05 - The Witness
Tessa sees the shadows of two people arguing behind an upstairs curtain, followed by a gunshot and the body of Carmina falling to the ground below.
S01:E06 - Duel With a Stranger
Tessa's old boyfriend Antonio comes to California hired by Montoya to deal with the Queen of Swords.
S01:E07 - Running Wild
An outlaw gang preys on the dons, preventing their taxes from being delivered to Colonel Montoya, who then confiscates their lands.
S01:E08 - Honor Thy Father
While trying to protect a deserter, Tessa is forced to reveal the hiding place of a young shaman trying to retrieve a stolen gold mask.
S01:E09 - Counterfeit Queen
Montoya and Grisham capture a Queen of Sword impostor after she stole an army payroll. Montoya sees a chance to blame the real queen for the heist.
S01:E10 - The Serpent
The Queen of Swords rescues the son of a don. She is none too pleased to learn that The Serpent's outlaw gang destroys a poor peasant village.

Grisham hears of an old plot hatched by 3 Dons to keep their friend's wealth from Montoya. The 3 divided a map to the treasure's into 3 parts.
S01:E12 - The Emissary
An Ambassador to the King of Spain arrives in Santa Helena with only one thing on his mind - the Queen of Swords' head.
S01:E13 - Kidnapped
A man from Vera's past comes to Santa Helena, threatening to topple her house of cards. When Bernardo kidnaps her, ransom is not his prime objective.

A horse rides into town carrying a wounded stranger. As Montoya tries to piece the puzzle together, the Queen suspects Andreo is hiding something.

Two con men convince Montoya that they can catch the Queen of Swords. After the Queen saves Roman, the criminals have trouble keeping their word.
S01:E20 - The Dragon
After a Samurai master is murdered, the young initiate, Kami, vows to avenge the killers - and walks right into one of Montoya's traps.
