Cammie agrees to help Bell solve the mystery of his wife Vida if he hands over the cold case files he's solved. Bell reels from the news that Vida wasn’t who he thought she was.

Vida's father Alejandro pays Bell a visit that confirm his fears, leading Bell into a spiral of depression. Cammie's visit to the Perez beach house leads to new revelations in Vida's case.

A visit to Checotah's family throws suspicion onto Perez business practices at the sugar plant. Meanwhile, Boggsville is shaken by another terrible event.

Determined to recover evidence destroyed by a fire at the sugar plant, Cammie and Bell road trip to Tampa. Romance and danger ensue as we get closer to the truth the Perez's are hiding.

Bell finally gets to the truth of Cammie's past. A twisted dinner party at the Prescott home leads to a shocking series of revelations that answer many of the season's questions, except for one.

With the town on a new path, Cammie reopens Vida's murder case in the hope that will bring Bell out of a terrible depression. But as the mystery unravels, the danger piles up.
