Everywhere, people do risky jobs. In Phoenix, Arizona, firefighters take 24 hour shifts—sometimes taking over 10 calls a day—to protect their communities. But for these men and women, the rush of the risk and helping those in need makes it all worth it.

Alligators are a constant threat to the people of Florida. The first line of defense against them are the alligator trappers—a group whose job it is to find and capture these dangerous predators before they can harm the people around them.

When there is a hurricane warning, people run to the nearest safety. Everyone, that is, except for hurricane chasers. These brave photographers and scientists get right in the thick of the storm to get the material that no one else can.
