It’s Jay’s Birthday, and Max tries an experiment with Val: registering Jay’s EEG responses to memories of his dead father.

Dr. Max evaluates the responses to the various stimuli, which have caused changes in Jay’s EEG readings.

Val relates to Max the strange circumstances around Brad’s accident – the early morning fishing trip with Jay, alone in the boat, with only Brad’s life jacket.
