TAIPING fervently opposes WANG ZHEN’s proposal of demolishing the Huixin Courtyard named by the late Emperor GAOZONG

After learning that SANSHU hastily demolished the Huixin Courtyard, TAIPING becomes so enraged that she wants to punish him. LONGJI arrives in time to help him out of trouble.

WANG ZHEN goes to the Imperial Household Bureau to visit QIONGXIANG in private, asking her to help check the record of palace maid WU CUIYING.

TAIPING goes to visit the person who took the blame for her in jail but gets a cold shoulder.

After learning about the attempted assassination on her elder brother LI DAN, TAIPING wastes no time rushing there to make an audience with him and comfort him

Facing TAIPING’s accusation, the suspect has no way to deny it, fortunately, quick-witted LONGJI manages to help the suspect out of trouble.

LONGJI, HE LI and SANSHU join forces to fight off the assassin, following which they suspect it’s an inside job that someone from the imperial palace is behind the whole saga.

TAIPING pleas for the Emperor’s approval of allowing her to leave the palace, to which LI DAN decrees his approval.

After BIYUN and XIANGSI are attacked, SANSHU and HE LI go specifically to the Imperial Household Bureau to investigate.

With WANG ZHEN falling into the clutches of the criminal, YUAN YUE risks her own life to protect her.

Arranged by YUAN YUE, LONGJI and WANG ZHEN are finally open and honest with each other.

LONGJI is suspected of poisoning TAIPING, so CHENGQI, SANSHU and HE LI make every effort to help him.

WANG ZHEN eventually uncovers the conspiracy and helps clear LONGJI’s name.

With YUAN YUE depressed over things regarding YIN ROU, HE LI not only appears to be very attentive but also shares his own story with her.

CUNXI offers a gold tree as congratulations to LONGJI on his ascension to the throne, successfully winning favor from LI DAN and the others.

SANSHU re-encounters CUNXI in the palace, so they catch up with each other.
