Rex trains for a 5-unit combination, but just keeps goofing around. The members of the Dino Core aren’t ready to trust Rex.

Rex grows as a Dino Master, building the trust of the Dino Core members and successfully carries out a Core change.
S01:E04 - Pizza Dance With Rex / My Friend, Chu-Chu
Three thousand pizzas must be delivered. Everyone pitches in, singing while making all three thousand pizzas and successfully delivering them.

Tyranno, who had always felt left out, is entranced by Kaya’s charm. But, on his own, he firmly resists, and Rex and his friends, who had been getting ready for birthday.
S01:E06 - That Kaya Is This Kaya! / Showdown! Rex vs. Darkno / Pizza That You Have With Your Friends!
Kaya finally reveals her true form. Rex and his friends feel betrayed, having thought of Kaya as a friend only to discover that she’s a villain, but Rex accepts her as a friend.
