While Ishara searches for her father, she discovers a link that takes her into the traditional Nama world. Meanwhile, Van As sends out another thug.

Rosie's funeral draws the community together, but when Freddy doesn't show up, a heartbroken Mack travels to find and confront Freddy.

Ishara and Johnny track down Freddy and force him to return to Desert Rose. Meanwhile, Williams follows a hot lead on Hugo's abandoned truck back to Van As in Springbok.

Williams investigates Thorne's death and finds a link back to Jana. Meanwhile, Lucy has a secret rendezvous with Gus, who eventually unravels at a barbecue.

When Hugo tries to get away with Lucy, he is thwarted by Piet and Freddy, leading to a violent encounter. Eben meets a man who will end up being the key to his own redemption.

Freddy performs with the band and the community celebrates. After the gig, however, Freddy is stabbed by Hugo, and the children arrive to be with him as he fights for his life.
