Danny is in hospital critical condition, while Major Kiley and local bigwig Helen cross swords.

Tragedy awaits a pregnant Letty when her GI boyfriend Harvey is killed whilst on a mission.

Kiley is ordered to get into the good books of Helen, while McGraw is getting friendly with a married lady.

Even with her husband home and wheelchair bound, Helen struggles to disguise her feelings for Major Kiley.
