The Coroner's Assistant

James Rigby, a medical student, is hired by self-described coroner Oliver Cross.

Oliver's explanation of his business is interrupted by Mary, his niece. Later, James inadvertently witnesses a terrible event.

James' visit to his family for the weekend is cut short by an appearance from Oliver. Meanwhile, in London, Mary discovers something gruesome.

James devises a plan to trick Thomas into a confrontation. Oliver contemplates the future of his business.
