Still reeling from the untimely death of one of their patients, Mary and Des decide to take a break from their partnership. While Des grapples with helping a 21-year-old man suffering from terminal cancer, Nicole convinces Mary to take her to a patient session in order to experience firsthand what its like to help someone end their life.
