TV-14
Alex’s (Erica Durance) patient, Colin (Aidan Wojtak), is in desperate need of a liver transplant. She’s explored every avenue except one, the boy’s father, who has been in witness protection and hiding from his old motorcycle club. When Colin’s father, Danny (Greg Bryk), shows up, he insists on keeping the transplant off the books, fearing blowback from his old crew. Convinced it’s paranoia, Alex jumps through hoops to accommodate the reformed criminal for the sake of her young patient. Charlie (Michael Shanks), after arguing with Alex over Luke’s enrollment in daycare, encounters Danny’s spirit who asks him for his protection from an unwelcomed familiar face. As Charlie pushes Alex to cater to Danny’s fears, he raises suspicion from Manny (Jared Joseph), who wonders how and why Charlie knows what he knows. As the new CEO Thomas Leffering (Joe Dinicol) makes his mark on Hope Zion, he puts a moratorium on expensive transplant surgeries. Unfortunately, this puts him at odds with a defiant Dawn (Michelle Nolden), who goes ahead with a heart surgery in despite a stern warning from Thomas. As the cuts continue, Zach (Benjamin Ayres) worries his E.R. might be next on the chopping block. To prove to his bean-counting CEO, Zach decides to have a perfect day in emergency room, only to be faced with trials of biblical proportions.
