Shinomiya sees Naruse and Haruta embracing in the rain, and this makes Shinomiya feel bad since he has a crush on Haruta.

Kurosawa stands guard against Naruse while also fighting against his own daughter who also is in love with Haruta.

When Haruta learns that Shinomiya has been divorced and has a son, he helps to bridge the gap between the two.
