June 29, 2008, two French research students, Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, were stabbed to death in New Cross in South East London. The victims were bound, gagged, and tortured over several hours.

November 2000, part-time doorman George Napier was working in the Deptford-New Cross area when he was stabbed as a result of preventing a man from entering the club without paying the 5 fee.

79-year-old Joan Albert was found dead in the hallway of her Boydlands house on December 16, 2001. Albert had suffered at least five stab wounds inflicted with a carving knife from her kitchen.

34-year old Nisha Patel-Nasri was a hairdresser and special constable with the Metropolitan police. On May 11, 2006, she was stabbed in the thigh with a John Lewis knife from her kitchen.
