Kimberley chooses an extremely seductive outfit to wear on her one-on-one date with Charlie, but some of the women tell her that her clothing is inappropriate. Charlie escorts her to an art gallery and, in a sweet surprise, shows off some of his own childhood masterpieces. Then he takes her back to his bachelor pad to spend more time with her. Meanwhile, the women back at the house refuse to be outdone by their scantily clad roommate and parade around in their sexiest outfits in a mock "tribute" to Kimberley's sense of fashion. When it gets late, and Kimberley hasn't returned from her date, the women speculate on her whereabouts--and they call Charlie to get the lowdown. Did Kimberley get a rose? Will she spend the night with Charlie? The next day Charlie and a group of the women go bowling. One of the ladies attempts to monopolize Charlie's time, causing some of the others to feel insecure about their status with the bachelor. A tired Charlie admits that his late night with Kimberley left him a bit weary for their group date. And he postpones his second one-on-one date--with Kara--because he is so exhausted. When they finally meet, Charlie and Kara have fun ice skating in Central Park. However, Kara, a single mom, challenges Charlie about whether or not he is really ready to take on the responsibilities of dating a woman with a child. And in one of the most talked about new changes in the "Bachelor" format, the women talk about Charlie and one another in the free-for-all session. During the rose ceremony, Charlie responds and also eliminates two of the eight remaining women.
