Reality TV star and fan favorite Jennifer Schefft gets a second chance at love in "The Bachelorette." This season "The Bachelorette" says good-bye to the beaches of Southern California and hello to the streets of the Big Apple, as New York becomes the exciting, new location for the hit series.Jen, a 28-year-old from Chicago, was originally introduced to television audiences during the third installment of "The Bachelor" in April 2003, in which Andrew Firestone proposed to her. Although her relationship with Firestone ultimately ended in heartbreak, Jen remains a hopeless romantic and is optimistic about finding her husband on "The Bachelorette."In a first for the series, Jen actually helps select the men who will vie for her heart. She will get to know 25 suitors through a series of group gatherings and exotic, one-on-one romantic dates. She will introduce some of the guys to her closest friends and family, and she will also visit their hometowns to meet their parents in an effort to determine the most desirable and compatible prospect."The Bachelorette" follows a gradual process of elimination as Jen is initially presented with 25 suitors, then on the season premiere narrows it down to 15 by presenting each with a single red rose. At any point along the way, however, should any of the men decide that he is no longer interested in the Bachelorette, he may reject Jen's invitation to continue dating.Tonight, two of Jen's best friends, Michelle and Abby, have some surprises in store for the men. Unbeknownst to the guys, Jen's friends pose as waitresses during the opening party so they can get the inside scoop on the guys' true intentions."The Bachelorette" provides an in-depth, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of each participant involved in this unique dating process. At the end of the journey, Jen will have had an unforgettable experience, made new friendships and quite possibly found true love.
