Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. In Watford, Inspector Steph Law visits a house where the owner is struggling to cope with his older dog Ted. Taken to the vets, it becomes very clear that he has been neglected for a long time, but will this flea-ridden fox terrier be able to recover and find a new home? Inspector Herchy Boal removes a pregnant staffie from an owner that is moving and can’t take on a new litter of puppies. Comfortable in her new makeshift maternity ward, young dog Shylo adapts very quickly to motherhood. Celebrity Chef Lesley Water is on a cooking crusade at Bath and with three discerning judges, her culinary skills are put to the test to devise some delicious, yet nutritious treats for these charming chaps. On Halloween 2014 a call comes in to the RSPCA’s cruelty hotline about a puppy that had been abandoned in a crisp box. It was a very wicked trick, and certainly no treat for Tiny Poppet, a seven-week-old West Higland Terrior who was rescued by Chief Inspector Matt Gough. Will she get the treat she deserves and find a new home?
