One Born Every Minute

The BAFTA award-winning One Born Every Minute returns for a brand new series from its new home at Liverpool's Women's Hospital - the largest and busiest maternity unit in Europe. Tonight ex- lovers prove that you don’t have to be together to raise a family, first timers from Brazil are in it for the long haul and childhood sweethearts must put their squabbling aside. After a boozy one night fling with her ex Mark (28), Marie (28) contends with an unexpected hangover; she is pregnant and expecting their third child together. Despite the split they share a united front to be the best parents they can be. Brazilian first time Mum Caia (34) is focused on a natural birth but her partner Bernardo’s (44) outbreak of ‘man flu’ proves to be an unforeseen distraction for their midwife. Overprotective Caia is determined to send Bernardo home for a rest but her maternal instincts for him are cut short when their birth plan doesn’t go to plan. Tom (31) and Kate (31) spend most of their time picking holes in each other but are trying to keep their bickering in check during the birth of their second child. Tensions mount when Kate begins to show all the signs of the preeclampsia which threatened the life of her and their first born - and Tom is terrified that history will repeat itself.
