Jack is pestered by a young autograph seeker, then Bob Crosby sings a medley of songs from "Peter Pan" to the child. Jack is so mad at Rochester for falling asleep during his show, he sends him to his room without dinner.

Near the end of a new year's eve interview with a female reporter, Jack tells her the tale of that same night in 1953, when his plans for the evening did not go as expected.
S01:E05 - Jack Casting for TV Special
Auditioning actors for a 1 hour show recounting his thrilling life provokes many emotions in Jack: lust for a young actress, vanity when an elderly woman from his hometown shows up, and especially greed. A young actor is perfect for Jack as a child, which the actor's 10 year old agent takes every advantage of.

To meet his sponsor in New York, Jack and Rochester pack their bags and a parrot and head to the train station. Their taxi driver is a blubbering wreck who hates to see people leaving.

S01:E14 - How Jack Met George Burns
Jack and his long-time best friend George Burns play golf, but Jack quickly storms back to his office, crying foul to his secretary. George strolls in next, smoking a victory cigar.
S01:E15 - Harlow Gets a Date
An important sponsor will soon be coming to visit, and it's up to Jack to supply a date for his daughter. He turns to Don to let his son take her out.
