Levesque learns that Producers at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation are going on strike to push for unionization, placing his career in the middle of a political maelstrom.

As a newly elected Minister, Levesque immediately goes to work against corruption, but towards efforts to nationalize electricity, facing strong headwinds in the process.

Levesque begins to increasingly find himself at odds with Lesage, and by the Liberal Convention of 1967, Levesque is forced to make a momentous decision.
