Pennsylvania, 1981. A 15 year-old girl is raped and killed. Lewis Jim Fogle, newly-wed and just having a baby, gets arrested 5 years later in the wake of a late denunciation.
S01:E03 - The Alan Newton Case
New York, 1985. A woman is raped and mauled. Alan Newton is designated by an eye witness and sentenced to 40 years of imprisonment.
S01:E04 - The George Toca Case
New Orleans, 1984. A young delinquent is killed accidentally by his accomplice during a robbery attempt. He is arrested, sentenced to life imprisonment in the harshest penitentiary
