T05:C18 - S05:E18 - Hope Never Dies

Following a mass casualty accident, there is an accident involving a bus full of teenagers, where Alex (Erica Durance) and Charlie (Michael Shanks) rush to the scene of to save the kids while waiting for back up to arrive. After saving the lives and leaving that scene, they – with Baby Luke in the backseat – get into a devastating car accident of their own, throwing the whole family into peril. Luke needs surgery, Alex is in a coma, and Charlie has extensive brain injuries. While on the operating table, Charlie sees vision of the future – and meets his adult daughter, who followed in her father’s footsteps as an orthopedic surgeon. Ultimately, Shahir (Huse Madhavji) cannot save Charlie, and his organs go to save several of the accident victims lives. Following Charlie’s death, the Hope Zion family bands around Alex to mourn the loss of Charlie, and move on to their next chapter.
