Mistakenly believing Kate is pregnant, Drew celebrates, but Kate tells Drew she wants her career instead of children. Drew admits to Kate how important being a father is to him, and they sadly end their relationship. Desperate for American citizenship, Mr. Wick promises Drew his job back with perquisites if Drew marries him. With nothing left to lose, Drew agrees to go to Vermont, where gay marriage is legal, to marry Mr. Wick.
