Twenty years have passed since the doomed Bugs 2 mission, and a strange new disease is ravaging Earth. To save his childhood friend from the peculiar malady, Akari Hizamaru enters an underground tournament only to find himself pitted against a bestially savage foe. At an impossible moment, a savage fury erupts from within Akari, piquing the interest of two U-NASA recruiters.

With the Annex 1 cruising toward Mars, an eerie mood pervades the crew as they are debriefed on their role in combating the lethal A.E. Virus. Realization follows, as does a missile attack by an army of Martian enemies. Adolf manages to push back the demons, but not the ones inside his head.
