Before Shane and Dipi can warn Toadie and Sonya, Angie arrives and is livid to discover that Toadie and Sonya are back together and nobody told her! While Toadie attempts to talk his mother around, Sonya discovers that Dipi and Shane know about the surprise vow renewal ceremony at the Christmas Party. But with Angie’s arrival, Sonya thinks the vow renewal will have to be cancelled, leaving Dipi dismayed. When she is later faced with Angie’s endless negativity about Sonya, she finally cracks and gives Angie a blast, telling her that if she doesn’t accept Toadie and Sonya’s relationship, she won’t be invited to their vow renewal ceremony, or any other future family events, including the ones involving her beloved grandchildren. Horrified by the thought, Angie goes to Sonya cap in hand. Sonya accepts her apology, but if Angie spoils the vow renewal surprise for Toadie, there will definitely be hell to pay.
