Moby Dick: The True Story

On November 20, 1820 a whaleship out of Nantucket, USA is attacked and sunk by an enraged sperm whale; the inspiration behind a literary classic by Herman Melville. Using computer effects and detailed re-enactments, this film weaves together the manuscripts, letters, newspaper accounts, logs and maps of the time to build the drama of the Essex and the heroic efforts of the men who sailed her.
