Friday Night Lights

Last season, Smash (Gaius Charles) injured his knee, bringing a swift end to his athletic scholarship and the Panther’s chance at another Championship. It's now eight months later and Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) finds himself trying to keep his job. A rich new family, the McCoy’s, have moved to town so their son, Joe Jr., can play under Coach Taylor’s tutelage. Tami (Connie Britton) is now the principal of the school and believes she is finally in a position to create change, but she finds it unpopular when she wants to reallocate tight school funding from athletics to academics. Meanwhile, Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) is told that college acceptance is unlikely considering her record. And after secretly hooking up all summer, Lila (Minka Kelly) refuses to go public with her new relationship.
