The nation-wide hunt for Byrne steps up. Byrne narrowly escapes capture in a chase on foot, when he is apprehended outside a primary school, watching the young children playing.
S01:E03 - Episode 3
Shaken by the murder of Edith Ramsay, Byrne breaks into a flat in Old Trafford, whose owner is abroad, connecting up gas and electricity.
S01:E04 - Episode 4
Byrne escapes Ericson and police manhunt and returns to his flat. He now knows that Ericson is bent.
