The Journey Across the Night

Li Jia, a student from the Mainland China, comes to Hong Kong to study his own "hereditary". Unexpectedly, as soon as he arrives Hong Kong, he encounters a robbery.

A series of weird incidents has made Li Jia feel that there is a secret behind the apartment. He becomes particularly obsessed with the truth and decides to find out.

Zhang Chacha learns that there is something wrong with Li Jia's apartment 5A and tries to find him another apartment. While returning home, Li finds the keyhole is blocked by wax.

Through the recording of the mobile phone, Li Jia discovers the secret door between the 02 and 03 households.

After receiving Li Jia's message, Zhang and Cheng finds Li is knocked out in the basement. Li rushs back to the apartment but finds that Uncle Xue has locked the door and set fire.

Cheng asks Li Jia to help him solve a trouble in the autopsy room: someone put green nails on the dead body.

Li Jia fails to apply for a dormitory again, and is invited to live in a luxury house with Cheng's family.

As Professor Chen shows pictures of self-abuse cases in class, Li Jia thinks of his mother who is self-abusing. For a while, he losses control of his emotions.

Zhang Chacha learns that Feng Shanshan had a doll with different color pupils, and concludes that Feng is the villain next to Cheng.

Cheng and his classmate Qi Yu have a dispute over Feng Shanshan, and then they disappear. When Li Jia and Zhang Chacha are looking around, they receive a call from the police.

Feng formally apologizes to Cheng and places the doll next to Luo Zhiwen's tomb as a final goodbye to the past.

As Halloween is approaching, the atmosphere is getting stranger. Cheng senses the ambiguity between Li Jia and Zhang Chacha and thinks they are in love.

Li Jia sees the late Zhang Chacha across the crowd and is about to greet her, but she suddenly disappears, and her phone is blocked.

In search for truth, Li Jia and Cheng investigate the story behind the theater. He learns that there was a big fire in the theater in 1997, and three people were burned to death.

From the diary left in the hometown, the truth of the burned theater is about to be revealed.

Zhang Chacha accompanies her mother and grandma to travel, and Li Jia finally applies to the school dormitory, ending his life in Hong Kong.

When returning to the dormitory, Li Jia sees a student is injured by the falling glass. The police concludes that the falling glass is an accident.

Cheng accompanies the lost Zhang Chacha to buy a drunk and comes to the dormitory to spend the night. Li Jia is put into the room by Cheng.

Cheng feels that the room is haunted, while Li Jia feeling that the sound of toilet flushing is too real, so he wants to record the sound in the room.

Late at night, a woman in the woods calls for help, and a car drives by. She thinks she is saved, but in fact, it is "Rainy Night Butcher".
