Beo Jin returns after an exhausting sea expedition. She pleads with William to take her with him.

While Beo Jin guards the storehouse with Won Bin, gifts for the king are stolen, leading to Won Bin’s arrest.
S01:E04 - Episode 4
Park Gyu starts an investigation for the recent burglary. Ann attempts to flee Tamra island with a raft.
S01:E05 - Episode 5
Park Gyu gets William to perform CPR on Beo Jin after she passes out underwater.
S01:E06 - Episode 6
Chi Yong, a member of merchants’ army, disrupts the investigation on burglary.
S01:E07 - Episode 7
Ahn and William barely escape being arrested by Chi Yong’s army, only to encounter an army of female divers.
S01:E08 - Episode 8
Park Gyu resumes the investigation and sneaks into a priest’s house, and comes across Beo Jin.

Park Gyu and Yi Bang tracks down the priest. Beo Jin and William witness Hyang Dol murder Yi Bang.
S01:E10 - Episode 10
Park Gyu saves Beo Jin and William but gets caught by the priest. Park Gyu reveals that he is an inspector.
S01:E11 - Episode 11
Park Gyu is attacked by Chi Yong’s army on his way to Han Yang and barely escapes death with William’s help.
S01:E12 - Episode 12
Park Gyu decides to send Beo Jin, William and Ahn away. He tries to pull himself together but fails.

Beo Jin comes running to Park Gyu when she finds out that he is in danger. William returns to find her.
S01:E14 - Episode 14
Mrs. Uhm interrogates Beo Jin about her relationship with Park Gyu. Mrs. Uhm does not approve of Beo Jin.
S01:E15 - Episode 15
William sends a letter to Beo Jin through Park Yeon. William is assigned to the Ministry of Culture.
S01:E16 - Episode 16
Mrs. Uhm kicks Beo Jin out when she finds out that Beo Jin was not pregnant. The king orders William’s death.
S01:E17 - Episode 17
Beo Jin finds a secret storehouse where the gifts for the king is kept.
S01:E18 - Episode 18
Beo Jin reports the secret storehouse to Park Gyu but he fails to find any evidence.
S01:E19 - Episode 19
Park Gyu breaks off his engagement with Si Yeon when he realizes that everything was plotted by Seo Rin.
S01:E20 - Episode 20
Park Gyu turns away from Beo Jin. Park Gyu and William reconcile when they are both locked in a prison.
