Kate Humble's Coastal Britain

Kate Humble embarks on an 11-mile walk on Exmoor’s South West Coast Path, starting at Porlock Weir and visiting St Bueno's parish church, where she uncovers its dark history.

Kate takes a 15-mile clifftop walk in North Yorkshire, starting 300 feet above Robin Hood's Bay. She descends to the fishing village and meets local archaeologist Maria.

Kate walks a 13-mile stretch of the South West Coast Path in Dorset, starting at Stonebarrow Hill. She visits Charmouth, famed for Jane Austen's praise in the early 1800s.

Kate walks 11 miles of Suffolk's rapidly eroding coastline, from Dunwich Heath to the submerged village of Dunwich. She also visits a wildlife-rich freshwater reedbed.
