Season 1
S01:E01 - Stranglehold
A man is found murdered, and the only lead is a woman who recently pawned his missing watch. She claims her boyfriend gave it to her, having won it from the man in a card game. When she refuses to give more information about her boyfriend Casey is tasked to solve the case! She takes a room in the girlfriend's seedy rooming house, posing as a Night Club singer, in an effort to befriend her, with the hopes of being able to lead her to the boyfriend. As she gets closer to the young woman, Casey soon learns that, there might be something more to this young woman than first appeared.
S01:E02 - The Red Clown
Mr. Foley quits his job and abandons his family to pursue his passion for painting, leaving his daughter (Bobby) confused and devastated. Mrs. Foley asks Casey to look for him and bring him back home, but Casey can only guarantee his financial support their daughter. She warns Mrs. Foley that coming home is his own decision entirely. Bobby, grief-stricken and determined to find her father, follows Casey throughout the investigation. Although reluctant at first, Bobby's eventually leads Casey to the whereabouts of Mr. Foley. Casey gets her father to talk to Bobby and explain why he left.
S01:E03 - The Phoner
Casey Jones stays with Betty, the victim, to figure out who has been calling and leaving her crude and obscene messages. They try to locate the culprit by tapping the calls and making staged appearances in the neighborhood, but these tactics prove to be ineffective. Betty is assaulted and hospitalized soon after, prompting Casey to take further action and set up a rendezvous with the mystery man. But he ends up being a no show. Right when Casey is about to give up, the perpetrator reveals himself unexpectedly.
S01:E04 - To Trap a Thief
Police are able to return Mr. Whittaker's stolen money from an armed robbery, but he quickly realizes that a large sum of the money is still missing. The police go through an extensive search and even begin to question officers in their own ranks, but Casey Jones believes that another element is in play. She goes undercover and blackmails Mr. Whittaker in hopes for a lead. Mr. Whittaker doesn't crack under the pressure, but someone unexpected does.
S01:E05 - Dream Fix
While on Juvenile watch, Casey finds a young teen struggling to walk and brings her into the station. The police find that Joanne, the teen, is hooked on cocaine and could be linked to a drug lord. Joanne's attorney comes to her rescue and sends her to a sanatorium for the time being, where Casey goes under the guise of Joanne's nurse to learn more. Casey earns her trust and she eventually leads Casey directly to the man who got her hooked.
S01:E06 - The Savage Payoff
The police department suspects a college basketball player of purposefully losing games for his own benefit, and it's up to Casey Jones to figure out who. She goes in undercover to get close to the players and investigate. The police department suspects Bobby Phillips as the culprit, but as she gets to know Dave Carter (another player on the team) she begins to think otherwise. It becomes clear that Dave Carter is fixing the games, but not for the motives they originally believed.
S01:E07 - Deadly Corridor
Casey goes into a prison undercover as an inmate to arrest a murderer, but there's a catch. The warden is the only one aware of her cover, and she must also go in weaponless and without backup. During her stay, Casey learns more about the woman who was murdered and pinpoints three potential suspects. Casey tells them that she has a lead on who the murderer is and reveals her intent on divulging that information to the warden, in the hope that the murderer to reveal herself.
S01:E08 - Escape Into Danger
Casey's neighbor, Mary, flees because she believes she has killed her husband. Mary has an immense amount of guilt but also a sense of righteousness because her husband was abusive. Little does she know that her actions were not the cause of his death; it was the husband's alcoholism. Casey seeks Mary out to set things straight, but civilian's views of police officers as "not to be trusted" and "eager to do anything to finish the job" makes her search for Mary difficult.
S01:E09 - Necklace of Glass
After nine socialite holdups, Casey Jones is sent in to catch the jewelry burglar in question. She attends an exclusive party, posing as a wealthy woman, to look for leads. She expresses her willingness for a "holdup man" to take her necklace so she could collect money from the insurance company. She even mentions splitting the money with that man to bait the culprit. She pins Larry as the guy she's looking for, but after investing all her time and energy in exposing him she's proven wrong. The culprit was right under her nose and someone she least expected.
S01:E10 - The Scapegoat
Casey and a fellow officer are tasked with bringing an embezzler, Dorothy Boyer, to the police station. They take turns hand cuffing themselves to her, but when Casey and Boyer are left alone Casey is tricked into sympathizing with the her. Casey takes off the Boyer's handcuffs, giving her an opportunity to flee. During Casey's search for the woman she discovers that her son is autistic, and that the money from embezzling was going towards her son's private school funds. Now Casey must find her and stop her from committing a more serious and self deprecating crime.
S01:E11 - Two Days to Kill
Selma's testimony could put a murderer on the loose into prison, but there's a problem. Selma is in love with him. Although the two women couldn't be anymore different, Casey is assigned to stay in a hotel room with Selma until they're able to locate the culprit. Selma's split conscious results in her aiding the murderer in locating the hotel room the women are staying at. When he arrives It's up to Casey to protect Selma from her killer.
S01:E12 - Queen of Diamonds
Casey tries to crack a complicated case undercover involving two men. Frank is her main suspect but to break his alibi and indite him, Casey needs to obtain concrete evidence or find a witness who will testify. Casey is able to get close to the men under the guise of a photographer and pin them against each other. She convinces the other man, Chi Chi, to give the DA the evidence they need to put Frank in jail because he's in love with Frank's girlfriend.
S01:E13 - My Brother's Killer
When a distressed fiancé looking for her soon-to-be-husband is turned away from a police officer, Casey decides to step in and help her. What the police officer thought was a wild goose chase ends up leading Casey to a much bigger undertaking. The woman's fiancé, is actually being held up in his room by his brother's killer, who's looking for some money he believes his brother has hidden. Casey goes undercover to retrieve the fiancé, but the killer is ruthless and one step ahead.
S01:E14 - Bullet of Hate
Stella's Aunt Mary calls the police on her after another night of her disappearing with no word. Casey talks to Stella, who explains her distaste for her aunt's constant criticism and negative comments about her deceased parents. She reveals a desire to kill her aunt, but explains that she always runs away from home instead. Stella commits the crime a few days later, but when Casey goes to the home to pick up Stella's clothes she suspects Stella has been set up.
S01:E15 - Death Watch
Casey joins a shoplifting ring to investigate further. While undercover, Casey meets a mysterious man who seems to be in charge. After earning his trust, he begins asking her to complete more peculiar jobs. Little does she know she's actually uncovered a murder-for-hire organization.
S01:E16 - Odds Against the Jockey
Casey has a slim lead for a jockey murder case, starting with the insurance company who settled the victim's claim the day of the murder. She follows the lead to the horse race track, where she does some more digging on potential suspects. All evidence and signs point to Maxie Pando, a tip sheet seller at the track, but Casey has her suspicions. After revisiting the insurance company for more questioning and retracing the victim's steps the day of the murder, she finds the real culprit.
S01:E17 - Dressed for the Kill
Casey is placed on the homicide squad for a murder case in the garment district. She must now replace the murdered model's spot at the company to find out who was responsible. The evidence she obtains from the models and dressers all point toward Larry, the son of the company owner. He's brought in and placed on open charges after questioning. Soon after his father lets Casey know that another individual had been aware of her cover during the investigation, leading to believe they may have caught the wrong guy.
S01:E18 - An Eye for an Eye
Casey is assigned to the narcotics bureau, who sets her up in a hotel under the guise of a dope addict. She happens upon Maria's dead body, a woman Casey had hoped would lead her to her heroine source. Her only lead for the murder is the victim's brother Danny, who she suspects of supplying his sister with heroine. But when she confronts him about the murder it becomes clear that there's another big player involved, his Uncle Rico. In a wave of rage he faces his uncle directly.
S01:E19 - The Challenger
Lenny Capper is a boxer competing for the middleweight championship, but his efforts are thwarted by mobsters. They attempt to buy Lenny's contract, but he refuses. As a result, Lenny gets beat up two hours before the fight and he loses the fight. Sergeant Crown and Casey Jones tackle this case together as they believe they can catch the mobsters with this case if they find witnesses. They don't find anyone willing to testify but end up with something better: catching the mobsters in the act.
S01:E20 - Across the World
Casey Jones is a New York City policewoman who fights crimes and solve mysteries, often going in undercover and alone. Each episode revolves around a different case Casey must deal with ranging from murders to narcotics to disappearances. While undercover she comes into close contact with mobsters, a shoplifting ring, burglars, and a drug lord. Casey must make split second decisions in the moment as new elements to the case reveal themselves because she's in the heart of the conflict. Based on the accounts of a New York undercover policewoman's actual case histories and told through the voice of Casey Jones, viewers are brought into the headspace of a policewoman and the danger she's exposed to.
S01:E21 - The Showplace
When a nightclub singer is murdered outside her place of work, left only with a single rose as a departing memento by her killer, Detective Casey Jones goes undercover as the victim's replacement to investigate the locale and clientele at what becomes increasingly clear is a shady operation. While the sketchy male employees of the club lead her investigation into recursive circles for the ladykiller, her search to figure out the mechanics of the spotty goings-on in the club uncovers more than just illegal practices.
S01:E22 - Reasonable Doubt
After her services are solicited to help a pair of brothers implicated to varying degrees in a robbery-turned-attempted-murder, Detective Casey Jones becomes suspicious of the wonky information and alibis surrounding the brothers and their connection to the crime. While one brother awaits trial in jail and the other works with Jones to prove his innocence, her suspicions surrounding the entire ordeal increase with each piece of conflicting information she receives from the completely dissimilar brothers.
S01:E23 - Night of Fire
Casey takes a job as a factory file clerk in order to investigate a suspicious fire. With the general consensus among the office being that the only potential suspect can be narrowed down to a secretary, Jones' investigation appears poised to face a biased wall of identical accusations, she makes a decided effort to exercise all conceivable possibilities. Though the evidence begins to point to the secretary, who has a history of mental illness, Casey suspects that an arson ring may be responsible.
S01:E24 - Saturday Lost
After a woman awakes in a mysterious hotel with no memory of who she is or how she arrived there, Detective Casey Jones is called to the scene to investigate the anonymous woman and get to the bottom of her inability to recall her recent goings-on, as well as her own identity. Things get even more complicated when a high speed car crash on a major highway leaves a victim who they believe to be the woman's sister dead on the side of the road, which the detectives believe may be related to their mysterious amnesiac.
S01:E25 - High Swing
Casey goes undercover in an attempt to get to the bottom of a crime ring concerning a seemingly inconspicuous elderly couple who turn out to be professional thieves. Though old, frail and with the usual symptoms that plague the elderly, there is more to them than meets the eye. Casey is gradually able to earn their trust, infiltrating their criminal scheme from the inside to bring them and their questionable practices and complicated motivations to justice.
S01:E26 - Earthbound Satellite
After some unavoidably negative attention is directed towards a ring of illegal gambling houses following a high profile member's apparent suicide, Detective Casey Jones uses her unassuming presence and appearance to go undercover in an effort to find the whereabouts of these illegal rings and hopefully gain some answers concerning the departed. After gaining the trust of one of the club's operators, Jones' accidental idea about satellite tracking inspires her team to send her in with a signaling device to uncover the shady operation dealing cards, debt, and even death.
S01:E27 - The Sound of Tears
After a man is shot to death in the park, it is determined the bullets came from a gun he had given to his fiancée. Her pet Daschund was also seen at the crime scene. An employee of the victim picks her out of a line up as well, but Casey suspects a frame up. After the victim's mistress implicates herself through uneven testimony and bouts of revealing hysterics, a case presents itself against the jealous lover.
S01:E28 - Ladies' Man
A psychotic husband has his wife shot by an innocent woman who thinks she's simply taking a photograph with an odd camera. He then goes to hide out at a hunting lodge in the mountains. Fearing he'll take the other hunters hostage, Casey goes undercover as a tourist to smoke him out. The suspect, hiding in the deep woods with his mistress, turns the situation into a hostage standoff, controlling both the police and his Stocklhom Syndrome mistress hostage until Casey is able to convince her to make a clean break.
S01:E29 - Cry Revenge
Casey gets involved in the lives of a woman and her daughter when they receive a series of threatening phone calls. The situation takes a strange turn when the young woman marries the man who makes the calls. Still very much scheming to extort the family to get out of an unrelated prosecution, the new wife finds herself getting progressively more and more scared of her husband, caught between perceived love and Stockholm Syndrome. This creates a substantial rift between mother and daughter, with Casey struggling to provide protection to a family caught in the middle of tearing itself apart.
S01:E30 - The Gentle Gun-Man
After an attempted robbery ends with the would-be-thief getting shot and killed in self-defense, his widow reveals that his activities are illegal and gang-related in nature. Casey gets the call to go undercover and infiltrate the crime syndicate from the inside out. After careful examination of the circumstances and weapon, it becomes undeniable the attempted crime and those implicated are gang-related in nature. Casey must bring to light where the associated arsenal of illegal weapons is coming from before any more havoc is done.
S01:E31 - Night Light
Casey goes undercover to recover a stolen ruby necklace before it can be fenced. Her investigation leads to an ex-convict who is inadvertently leading his teenage son into a life of crime because of the youngster's love for his father. Casey gets pinned between redeeming the stolen value and deterring the thief from dragging his adolescent son into an ill-advised world of crime, narrowly playing both sides against the clock as the family plans an escape to lawless Mexico City.
S01:E32 - Fiesta at Midnight
Newly arrived in New York, a young Puerto Rican man is arrested for robbery and assault. He claims to have been with two women at the time of the theft, but one won't identify him and the other can't be found. As Casey searches relentlessly for this second witness, the alleged suspect's story becomes more and more convoluted, with one witness turning out to be a nun and the other turning out to be the real suspect's fiancee.
S01:E33 - The Lieutenant Had a Son
A career soldier returns home from war to reclaim his wife and son from who he has been separated from since before their child's birth. When he learns of his wife's remarriage to another man, accompanied by her active denying him access to their son, he takes matters into his own hands, confronting his wife and ultimately getting the police involved. Casey Jones takes the case to figure out to whom custody belongs, what illegalities have been committed, and to who this woman is rightfully married.
S01:E34 - Shadow of Van Gogh
A struggling artist becomes obsessed with Van Gogh, dressing like him and painting like him. When he is innocently coaxed into illegally copying a Van Gogh original, Casey, investigating the sale of the forgery, must find out who hired him. Setting forth on simultaneous quests to find the forger, the buyer, and the stolen original, Casey must navigate a web of players in the high art industry to determine who exactly is the fraud.
S01:E35 - Tin Pan Payoff
Casey investigates the murder of a songwriter, the only concrete clue being a vinyl record left spinning at the scene of the crime. She follows its trajectory to discover its inception was a non-commercial home lab, with each contact she is deferred to adding to the convoluted portrait painted of the controversially received victim. Her discoveries include an intricate web of fellow musicians whose relationship with and reluctance to talk about the victim lead Casey to believe there is more to this widely despised man than meets the eye.
S01:E36 - Blind Date
After a young women and her elderly aunt get in a taxi accident, where it is revealed they have $125,000 in stolen cash, Casey goes undercover on a blind date to catch and arrest the awaiting recipient of the stolen money. Her cover is as the young girl, the drug mule who, along with her aunt, were to swap the stolen money for a negotiated fee. But things get complicated when the real mule's boyfriend arrives unexpectedly and calls Casey out on her false disguise.
S01:E37 - The Come Back
When a roll of blank parimutuel tickets are stolen from a race track, Casey attempts to convince the gang responsible that she's a cop on the take who can help them pass the counterfeit ducats through crooks she's blackmailing. Posing as a dirty cop with willingness and ability to manipulate criminals for her selfish gain, she infiltrates the betting operation from the inside, playing each level of command using her tricks, from her charm, to her sensuality, to her manipulative subliminal influence.
S01:E38 - First Arrest
Casey goes undercover as an exotic dancer at a carnival sideshow, and begins to suspect that a fellow carnival worker is fencing stolen property. Though his nervous and amateur demeanor comes off as uneasy and at times even threatening, she takes a liking to him, that is until she begins to suspect his activities are slightly less ethical than they seem. Her priorities become entangled when her feelings for him become compromised by her suspicions of his illegalities and the subsequent need to bring him to justice.
S01:E39 - The Lost Ones
Casey's visit to a girl she arrested and later befriended takes a turn into the macabre when she discovers the girl's brutal father dead. The girl claims to have shot him, but Casey isn't so sure she believes her. After further investigation, she finds that Elsa is associated with a violent gang, whose leader has no morals and no intentions of giving the girl up. Her suspicions only amplify as the girl's family appears to know more than they are letting on, especially with the girl having gone missing with a citywide search for her.
