St. Peter: The Persecution of Christians

Saint Peter, a reluctant but passionate leader, from the crucifixion of Jesus to his own. The film's first half dramatizes the New Testament's "Acts": early fear, the renewal of Pentecost, Saul's conversion, the decision to baptize pagans, and the Apostles' dispersal.

Following the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the apostle Peter begins to spread the teachings of Jesus across all the lands. Haunted by his betrayal of Jesus the night of his crucifixion, Peter seeks redemption in the eyes of Jesus, and will stop at nothing to continue the work of Jesus no matter the cost to his own life. Journeying to Rome, Peter experiences first hand the pain and sorrow brought upon the Christians by the hands of the Romans. But through the power of prayer, and the love of Jesus, Peter is able to spread the word of the Lord across the globe.
