Gotta Watch ’Em All: Your Pokémon Marathon Starts on Tubi
Ten Pokémon movies and shows for Trainers who suddenly feel the urge to revisit Ash, Pikachu, and 30 years of Pokémon lore.
Katharine Isabelle trades Ginger Snaps for surgical gloves in the 2012 body-horror cult favorite currently on Tubi.
Watch NowMedical school is already stressful enough without accidentally becoming the underground body-modification community's most in-demand surgeon. American Mary (2012) introduces Mary Mason as a broke surgical student whose very expensive skill set suddenly becomes considerably more profitable when she discovers a shadow world of off-the-books procedures and clients looking to transform their bodies in ways traditional medicine won't touch.
Directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska, American Mary blends body horror and medical horror into something stylish, strange, and increasingly uncomfortable, turning the operating table into a place where questions about control, beauty, and bodily autonomy get very sharp, very quickly.
And at the center is horror icon Katharine Isabelle, trading the teenage ferocity of Ginger Snaps for Mary Mason's surgical precision and giving the genre another woman you probably shouldn't underestimate. If your spooky-season appointments are already filling up, Tubi's Terror on Tubi hub has plenty more horror movies waiting after Mary's office closes.
Isabelle gives Mary a cool, controlled presence that makes her transformation from exhausted medical student to increasingly dangerous underground surgeon fascinating to watch. Isabelle brings a confidence that grows alongside Mary’s reputation, never playing her like a traditional horror heroine waiting for the nightmare to happen.
Cupo gives club owner Billy Barker the slick, morally questionable charm of a man who sees Mary's surgical abilities and immediately recognizes an opportunity. His fascination with Mary gradually becomes harder to separate from attraction, business, and a little bit of fear as her influence grows.
Risk gives Beatress an unexpected warmth and confidence beneath her Betty Boop-inspired appearance. As the woman who introduces Mary to the underground body-modification community, Beatress knows exactly who she is and doesn't ask anyone's permission to understand it.
Lindberg plays Ruby, whose desire to surgically resemble a human doll becomes one of American Mary's most memorable body-modification storylines. Lindberg plays Ruby's request with sincerity rather than treating her as shock value, pushing the movie toward a bigger question: if Ruby knows exactly what she wants her body to become, who gets to decide she's gone too far?
“You wanted perfection. I brought a scalpel and my own definition.”
