Loved Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” Music Video? Watch These 7 Movies on Tubi Next

Ghostly warnings, beautiful houses, dangerous relationships, and women realizing something is very wrong. Keep the gothic spiral going through seven movies streaming free on Tubi.

Taylor Swift's “Patient Zero” music video packs enough gothic drama into a few minutes to make wanting another 90 feel perfectly reasonable. A beautiful home hides something rotten. Dakota Johnson's character slowly realizes the relationship she's entered may have a history nobody bothered to disclose. Swift becomes a ghostly warning from the woman who came before her. Romance, suspicion, true-crime intrigue, and psychological-thriller tension keep colliding until suddenly we're not simply watching a music video anymore. We're investigating.

Honestly, giving us this much plot in one music video and then expecting everyone to simply move on was ambitious. You finish with questions. You want to wander around that house longer. You want the full story behind every suspicious look and perfectly placed clue. Most importantly, you want somebody to hand you the feature-length version immediately.

If what you really wanted after the video ended was a movie capable of keeping that feeling going, Tubi has several doors we'd recommend opening. These seven movies like Taylor Swift's “Patient Zero” music video don't recreate it beat for beat. They pick up different pieces of its DNA: gothic houses, ghosts carrying unfinished business, relationships that stop feeling safe, women questioning what's happening around them, and visuals pretty enough to make you briefly forget you should be concerned. Tubi's Gothic Horror collection has even more candlelit bad decisions waiting once seven somehow isn't enough.

The Second Woman

A handsome man. A dead former bride. A new woman beginning to wonder whether the story she's been given is missing a few extremely important details. Well, hello there.

Betsy Drake enters the life of successful architect Jeff Cohalan in The Second Woman, where his former fiancée's mysterious death hangs over a man already surrounded by increasingly strange circumstances. Getting closer to Jeff means getting closer to the question of what actually happened before she arrived.

No ghost is standing nearby trying to point her toward the evidence, but this may be the closest narrative cousin to “Patient Zero” currently staying on our Tubi watchlist: a woman enters a man's life, discovers another woman died before her, and starts realizing his romantic history may deserve much more investigation. Somehow “tell me about your ex” has been thriller material since 1950.

The Invitation

Nothing ruins a beautiful dinner party quite like the growing suspicion that you should not have come.

Will reluctantly attends a gathering hosted by his ex-wife Eden and her new husband in The Invitation, returning to a Los Angeles home carrying plenty of painful history from their former life together. Everyone else seems willing to accept Eden's strangely serene new outlook. Will keeps noticing reasons not to.

Director Karyn Kusama understands how unsettling it can be when your instincts are screaming while everybody around you keeps behaving normally. A smile lasts too long. A conversation feels rehearsed. Grief sits underneath the evening while Will tries to determine whether his discomfort comes from the past or something happening right now. If “Patient Zero” had you watching Dakota Johnson slowly realize the room may know something she doesn't, consider your reservation confirmed.

The Lodgers

Old house. Family curse. Rules you absolutely should not break. Gothic horror has entered the chat.

Twins Rachel and Edward are bound to their crumbling family estate by a supernatural presence in The Lodgers, where every night brings the same demands: be inside by midnight, never allow an outsider through the door, and never leave the other sibling behind.

Rachel increasingly wants a life beyond the house, especially once romance gives her another reason to imagine one. Unfortunately, gothic houses are famously bad at supporting personal growth. The decaying estate, buried family history, ghostly rules, and feeling that generations of damage are still occupying the property make this our pick for anyone whose favorite “Patient Zero” character was honestly the house. Both stories understand the same gothic rule: when a beautiful home is carrying more history than anyone wants to explain, start asking questions before settling in.

The Love Witch

Romance looks incredible in Technicolor. The emotional consequences remain less photogenic.

Elaine arrives in California determined to find the kind of overwhelming love she's been promised in The Love Witch, using spells and carefully constructed femininity to attract men who repeatedly fail to survive the fantasy quite as well as expected.

Writer-director Anna Biller makes every visual choice part of the seduction. Costumes, makeup, color, décor, and old-Hollywood glamour create a world so beautiful that danger can sit directly inside the frame without ruining the fantasy. For anyone still stuck on how gorgeous “Patient Zero” looks while everything underneath it goes terribly wrong, consider this your next visual obsession. Love looks gorgeous. Terms and conditions apply.

Honeymoon

Getting married usually implies you're reasonably confident you know the person beside you. Horror would like to revisit that assumption.

Newlyweds Bea and Paul retreat to a secluded cabin in Honeymoon, expecting privacy and time together before Paul discovers Bea wandering alone in the woods one night. She comes back looking like herself. Acting like herself becomes a much more complicated question.

The unease grows through tiny changes rather than one enormous announcement that something is wrong. Familiar behavior becomes unfamiliar. Intimacy starts feeling uncertain. Paul knows Bea well enough to recognize the differences, but recognizing them doesn't automatically explain what's causing them. “Patient Zero” turns romantic history into a warning. Honeymoon makes knowing your partner feel like evidence.

Good Manners

Clara takes a job as a nanny. The employment arrangement does not remain professionally straightforward for very long.

Hired by wealthy and heavily pregnant Ana in Good Manners, Clara enters a life far removed from her own as employee and employer gradually develop a much more intimate connection. Then Ana's pregnancy begins revealing complications that no parenting book was particularly prepared to address.

Directors Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra let romance, class, loneliness, fairy tale, and supernatural horror coexist without forcing the movie into one comfortable category. The connection between two women drives the story somewhere increasingly strange while the elegant domestic world around them becomes less reassuring the closer Clara gets. The “Patient Zero” connection isn't a murderous husband or warning ghost here; it's the feeling of entering another woman's beautiful life and slowly discovering how much has been hidden underneath it. Sometimes entering somebody else's home means discovering the secret. Sometimes you become part of it.

The Blackcoat's Daughter

Two women. Different journeys. One place neither story can quite escape. Something connects them.

An isolated boarding school becomes the center of The Blackcoat's Daughter, where two students are stranded during winter break while another young woman travels toward the same location. Director Osgood Perkins keeps the relationship between their stories deliberately out of reach until enough pieces begin falling into place.

The parallel-women mystery makes this one especially interesting after “Patient Zero.” Both stories ask you to watch women separately before understanding why their experiences belong beside each other. Images gain meaning later. Isolation carries history. Knowing what happened to one woman changes how you understand another. That slow-burn nightmare gets an even closer look in The Blackcoat's Daughter spotlight, but knowing less before pressing play remains extremely useful here.

Some warnings arrive before the nightmare. Others only make sense afterward.
