From Lip Syncs to Bloodsuckers: Meet the Queens of Tubi’s Slay

Category is: vampire apocalypse realness.

Watch Now

The Tubi Original Slay starts with the booking mix-up from hell: four drag queens arrive at a small-town biker bar expecting a gig and quickly realize this is not exactly their usual crowd. Awkward? Yes. Grounds to sashay away? Maybe. But before anyone can pack a wig, the night gets considerably more awkward when bloodthirsty vampires crash the party.

Suddenly, the queens aren’t just working the room; they’re trying to keep everyone in it alive. Written and directed by Jem Garrard, Slay mixes campy comedy, bloody horror, action, and plenty of heart into what the cast has described as a Drag Race acting challenge “on steroids.”

The Cast

Cara Melle

Cara Melle steps into the fight as Olive Wood, bringing glamour, confidence, and plenty of attitude to the fabulous foursome. The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK alum sells the fantasy without losing the human panic underneath, which makes every scream, strut, and survival choice hit harder.

Trinity the Tuck

Every queen squad needs someone who can take one look at absolute chaos and decide, “Fine, I’ll handle it.” Enter Mama Sue Flay. Played by RuPaul’s Drag Race and All Stars alum Trinity the Tuck, she brings seasoned confidence, quick wit, and major mother energy to the group. Vampires picked the wrong gig to interrupt.

Heidi N Closet

The situation may be giving horror challenge, but Robin Banks refuses to let impending doom kill the vibe. Heidi N Closet brings her signature comedic spark to the role, making Robin the kind of queen you want nearby when a bad booking somehow escalates into fighting the undead. Charisma can win over a room. Apparently, it can also help survive one.

Crystal Methyd

Predictable has never really been Crystal Methyd’s thing, and Bella Da Boys fits right into that beautifully weird wheelhouse. Crystal brings an offbeat energy to a movie already serving biker bars, drag performances, and bloodsucking monsters under one roof. In a night where absolutely nothing is normal, being the weird one might actually be an advantage.

“Darling, if the vampires want a show, they can tip first.”
