Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson Were Born to Cause Problems Together
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Guy Ritchie’s WWII action-comedy, is newly on Tubi and apparently viewers were ready for some extremely well-dressed chaos.

Then there are the men of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, who look like somebody just told them the mission involves blowing things up and they're trying not to seem too excited about it. Guy Ritchie's 2024 WWII action movie recently arrived on Tubi, and viewers have wasted very little time finding it: it's currently sitting at the top of Tubi's Most Popular collection.
Inspired by a real British covert operation, the movie assembles a top-secret team of rogues to sabotage a Nazi supply operation using methods that could generously be described as not particularly gentlemanly.
But the real selling point is watching the action movie's stacked cast realize they're allowed to have fun with it. Henry Cavill gets a magnificent mustache and an alarming enthusiasm for explosives. Alan Ritchson gets a bow and arrow. Eiza González gets espionage, glamour, and considerably more subtlety than the men running around blowing things up. Alex Pettyfer brings another member of the covert team into the mix. Everybody found their department.
The Cast
Henry Cavill as Gus March-Phillipps
Cavill is known for playing characters burdened by destiny that watching him play someone who appears to be having the best day of his life while carrying out a wildly dangerous mission feels almost rebellious. His Gus March-Phillipps is charming, reckless, confident, and equipped with a truly committed mustache, with Cavill leaning into a mischievous energy we haven't seen before.
Alan Ritchson as Anders Lassen
Ritchson plays the Danish soldier with an almost cheerful intensity, wielding a bow and arrow while looking like stealth was technically suggested but never required. Anders is intimidating, slightly unhinged, and having just enough fun to make you wonder whether the mission is really the dangerous part.
Eiza González as Marjorie Stewart
While the guys are approaching espionage with the subtlety of a fireworks display, González gets to play an entirely different game. Her Marjorie Stewart infiltrates enemy territory using charm, intelligence, and nerves of steel, and González brings an old-school spy-movie glamour to the role without letting Marjorie become decorative.
Alex Pettyfer as Geoffrey Appleyard
Pettyfer's Geoffrey Appleyard starts the movie as a prisoner whose rescue helps set the mission into motion. Once he's back in action, Pettyfer brings a cooler, more controlled energy to Guy Ritchie's covert-operations ensemble, which plays nicely against Gus's grinning recklessness and Anders' very enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
