They Like You. Way Too Much. 10 Stalker Movies to Watch Free on Tubi

Roommates, coworkers, strangers, fans, and supposed protectors cross some very serious boundaries in 10 obsession thrillers streaming free on Tubi.

The scariest moment in a stalker thriller isn't always when someone realizes they're being watched. It's how long the audience has already known. We notice the extra attention. The coincidence that happens one too many times. The way one person interprets an ordinary interaction with far more meaning than the other ever intended. Meanwhile, the person at the center of it may still be operating under the perfectly reasonable assumption that saying no, walking away, or ending a relationship should be enough.

A good obsession thriller lives inside that gap. We know the boundary has been crossed. The tension comes from waiting for everyone else to understand just how far the person crossing it is willing to go.

Tubi Original Psycho Side Chick recently took that refusal to accept “it's over” somewhere dangerous, following Kelsey after her married lover ends their affair and she becomes determined to get him back. Our Psycho Side Chick spotlight gets into the relationship thriller and its cast, but Kelsey's fixation also gives us a way into a much broader corner of the genre. Obsession, after all, doesn't need a breakup to get started.

Tubi's Thrillers collection takes that unease in very different directions. Across these ten movies, the frightening part isn't simply who becomes fixated. It's what they use to get closer: friendship, authority, celebrity, shared history, technology, or even the promise of protection.

Different circumstances. Same problem: somebody decided another person's boundaries were theirs to renegotiate.

The Roommate

College comes with enough roommate anxiety before “they’re becoming obsessed with me” enters the group chat.

Sara arrives on campus ready for the usual freshman adjustments in The Roommate, with Minka Kelly as the new student and Leighton Meester as Rebecca, the roommate randomly assigned to share her dorm. What begins as a fast friendship slowly becomes possessive as Rebecca grows hostile toward anyone competing for Sara's attention. The setup makes dorm-room proximity part of the problem: Rebecca doesn't have to find a way into Sara's private life because she already sleeps a few feet away.

Freshman year keeps giving Sara reasons to branch out with new friends, romance, and independence, while Rebecca keeps interpreting that expanding life as something being taken away from her. Meester's character isn't satisfied with being important to Sara. She soon wants to be indispensable. College is supposed to expand your world. Rebecca would prefer Sara's get much, much smaller.

Our look at the relationship red flags behind Verity focused heavily on the romantic variety, but The Roommate is a useful reminder that possessiveness doesn't need a love story to become dangerous.

Unlawful Entry

Calling the police is supposed to make the house feel safer.

Unlawful Entry begins after Michael and Karen Carr experience a frightening home invasion. Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe step in as the shaken couple, with Ray Liotta entering their lives as Pete Davis, the LAPD officer responding to the crime. His attention toward Karen eventually turns the person associated with protection into another source of danger.

Pete knows exactly when to make himself useful. He understands how shaken the couple feels, offers the security they're desperate to regain, and has a badge lending credibility to his presence. Liotta's character becomes more disturbing as that helpfulness starts carrying expectations nobody agreed to. The usual advice to “get help” becomes much more complicated here.

The Fanatic

Meeting your favorite celebrity should probably not end with them learning your home address.

John Travolta's takes on Moose, a Hollywood street performer who spends his free time collecting memorabilia, attending events, and hoping for the chance to meet the actor he idolizes in The Fanatic. When an autograph opportunity goes badly with action star Hunter Dunbar, disappointment doesn't convince him to move on. Instead, Moose finds another route toward Hunter, brought to the screen by Devon Sawa, pushing his fandom out of public spaces and into the actor's private life.

The movie plays with one of celebrity culture's strangest imbalances: Moose has spent years accumulating memories involving Hunter, while Hunter has no corresponding relationship with Moose at all. That one-sided familiarity allows rejection to feel personal to someone who already believes the connection matters. Moose isn't looking for another autograph anymore. He wants the person he's spent years watching to finally see him back.

Stalking Laura

Work emails should really be the most invasive thing following you home from the office.

Computer scientist Laura Black begins a promising Silicon Valley career with Brooke Shields in the role in Stalking Laura. Her work life becomes frightening when coworker Richard Farley, portrayed by Richard Thomas, develops an obsession with her.

What begins with unwanted romantic attention persists after Laura makes her lack of interest clear, forcing her to navigate a workplace where the person ignoring her boundaries remains part of her daily environment. Laura can't reorganize her entire professional world around avoiding one colleague without paying a price herself too. The movie lets that unfairness sit alongside the escalating danger: she's the person being targeted, yet she's also the one forced to think about where she goes, what she does, and how Farley might respond.

The film is also based on Laura Black's real-life stalking case, which ultimately ended in deadly workplace violence. That real history changes the weight of the story compared with the heightened fictional thrillers around it. Repeated unwanted attention can escalate with devastating consequences.

Stalker

A rideshare is supposed to end when you get out of the car.

Andy has barely started building a life in Los Angeles when one ordinary ride begins attaching the wrong person to it. In Stalker, a chance encounter with rideshare driver Roger develops into an unsettling friendship while Andy is also navigating a new city and budding romance. Roger's interest doesn't stay contained to the brief interaction that introduced them.

Los Angeles gives the movie an especially useful backdrop because Andy is still learning the rhythms of a place where Roger already knows how to move. A ride that should've been forgettable instead gives one stranger a starting point, and Roger keeps finding reasons for their paths to cross again. Andy experiences the connection as one part of a much bigger new life. Roger begins treating it like something central. The mismatch between those two interpretations is where the unease starts doing its work.

Sideline Obsession

Not every stalker thriller starts with attraction. Some start with history.

Derek has moved on from his football days and built a suburban life with a family of his own when someone connected to that earlier chapter returns in Sideline Obsession. A former teammate's reappearance pulls the past directly into Derek's present, but old memories soon become the foundation for a fixation threatening the life he's built since.

Shared history gives the former teammate something a stranger could never manufacture: knowledge of who Derek used to be. The danger comes from treating that earlier connection like a claim that never expired, even as Derek's priorities, relationships, and entire life have changed around it. Nostalgia is supposed to let you visit the past. Derek's problem is someone who seems determined to move back in.

The Perfect Stalker

This one manages to make the phrase “imaginary stalker” significantly less reassuring than it sounds.

Grace has recently moved into a new neighborhood when she becomes fixated on the man living nearby in The Perfect Stalker. Instead of simply trying to get his attention, she creates a much more elaborate route into his life: Grace claims she's being targeted by a dangerous stalker, giving her a crisis that can draw the neighbor closer.

Small complication. Her threatening stranger doesn't exist. Her plan very much does. Grace starts engineering circumstances designed to produce the relationship she wants. Playing the frightened target gives her a reason to seek comfort, ask for help, and make herself difficult for her neighbor to ignore. It's romantic manipulation with its own screenplay. Rather than waiting for intimacy to develop, Grace writes herself a scenario where closeness feels necessary and casts everyone else without asking.

Waltz

Posting something online does not mean posting yourself.

Money is tight when Waltz pushes its protagonist toward selling erotic photos on social media. What begins as a way to generate income puts her in front of an audience where one follower becomes much more invested than anyone clicking “follow” has a right to be. His fixation eventually moves beyond the screen and turns her attempt to support herself into a fight for survival.

The movie updates the stalker-thriller dynamic for a world where creators can interact directly with the people consuming their work. Messages, paid photos, and repeated interactions can feel personal while still belonging to a transaction between creator and audience. One follower begins treating that distinction like something he can erase. For Waltz's protagonist, the screen is supposed to provide distance between the content she's selling and the rest of her life. The nightmare begins when somebody decides that distance shouldn't exist.

A Teacher's Obsession

Extra help after class should not come with this kind of fine print.

Bridgette is dealing with academic probation when a teacher steps in with an offer to help in A Teacher's Obsession. What appears to be support from someone positioned to guide her grows more and more uncomfortable as their attention moves beyond schoolwork and into her personal life.

Bridgette can't treat the situation like an unwanted crush between peers because the relationship was never equal to begin with. The same authority that allows a teacher to monitor her progress, spend additional time with her, and frame attention as academic concern also gives the obsession places to hide before its intentions become impossible to ignore.

Killer Cove

You hire a private investigator because somebody is stalking you. Problem solved. Except no.

Linda is already dealing with threatening unwanted attention when Killer Cove gives her what sounds like the responsible solution: hire professional help. Private investigator Tony appears to offer exactly what she needs, bringing expertise, reassurance, and the possibility that somebody else can finally take some of the fear off her shoulders.

Unfortunately, Tony's involvement doesn't remain professional. Tony was supposed to be the person who understood how frightening unwanted attention could become. Knowing exactly what Linda is already going through makes his own behavior feel even more violating once the relationship shifts. Hiring protection shouldn't require protection from the person you hired. Linda gets the particularly cruel version of learning that lesson.
