Thrilling Company on Tubi Has a Guest List You Might Want to Reconsider

The most dangerous person in a thriller isn't always a stranger. Discover what happens when familiar faces become your biggest problem, streaming free on Tubi.

Being invited somewhere is usually a good thing. Someone thought of you, made plans, and decided your presence would improve the occasion. How thoughtful. Of course, that assumes the invitation doesn't come with a hidden agenda, a suspiciously detailed set of instructions, or a host who seems a little too interested in whether you've told anyone where you're going.

Company can be complicated even when everyone has perfectly innocent intentions. Families know exactly which buttons to push, old friends have a remarkable talent for bringing up things you'd rather forget, and coworkers can turn a simple disagreement into a full-blown workplace crisis. Throw a dangerous secret into the mix, and suddenly the people closest to you might be the ones making your life more difficult. So much for enjoying a peaceful evening.

Tubi's Thrilling Company collection understands that a little danger can make any gathering unforgettable. Family loyalty gets tested, friendships become criminal liabilities, and even a simple invitation can turn into something you'd rather decline. Good company is hard to find in these following stories, but watching the chaos unfold from your couch? That's an invitation worth accepting, especially when it's free.

The Hateful Eight

Getting snowed in with strangers sounds inconvenient enough. Getting snowed in with eight people who seem to be auditioning for the title of Most Suspicious Person Alive? Somebody should've checked the guest list.

Wyoming's unforgiving winter forces a collection of travelers to seek shelter in a remote stagecoach stop in The Hateful Eight, where bounty hunters, criminals, and other questionable personalities find themselves sharing close quarters. Among them is Major Marquis Warren, a former Union soldier whose sharp observations make him dangerous to anyone hiding something. Samuel L. Jackson brings Warren a commanding presence, while Kurt Russell gives bounty hunter John Ruth a stubborn determination to deliver his prisoner to justice. Unfortunately, sharing a roof doesn't mean anyone is interested in cooperating.

Quentin Tarantino turns the cramped setting into a pressure cooker of tense conversations, elaborate accusations, and confrontations that could erupt at any moment. Every character arrives with a story, but the way those stories begin contradicting one another makes even a casual exchange feel dangerous. The ensemble's performances keep the tension entertaining, especially when the characters start testing one another's patience with the enthusiasm of people who have absolutely nowhere else to go.

Four Brothers

Family reunions are supposed to involve catching up, sharing memories, and pretending nobody remembers that embarrassing thing you did years ago. The Mercer brothers have decided to skip straight to revenge.

Four adopted brothers reunite in Detroit after the murder of their mother in Four Brothers, where their search for answers quickly becomes a violent pursuit of the people responsible. Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, André Benjamin, and Garrett Hedlund portray siblings whose personalities and life choices have taken them in different directions. Their shared grief brings them back together, but their methods of handling the situation aren't exactly approved by the local authorities.

The Mercers aren't interested in waiting for someone else to deliver justice, which sends their investigation into dangerous territory. John Singleton gives their pursuit a gritty, action-heavy energy while allowing the brothers' grief to remain at the center of the story. Their constant disagreements make the family dynamic entertaining, but the moments when they put those differences aside give their loyalty real weight. The Mercer family might not be particularly good at resolving conflict peacefully, but they certainly know how to show up for each other.

Triple 9

Teamwork makes the dream work. Unless your coworkers are corrupt police officers planning a heist that involves sacrificing one of their own. In that case, perhaps update your résumé.

Criminals and crooked cops find themselves working together on a robbery that could cost them far more than their freedom in Triple 9, where their plan depends on creating a major police emergency to distract law enforcement. Chiwetel Ejiofor portrays Michael Atwood, the leader of the criminal crew, while Anthony Mackie's Marcus is a corrupt officer whose assignment puts his new partner directly in danger. That partner is Chris Allen, an honest cop portrayed by Casey Affleck, who has no idea how deeply he's been pulled into the conspiracy.

Every partnership in this movie seems to come with a hidden clause, and the tension grows as the characters realize their allies might be just as dangerous as their enemies. Kate Winslet adds another layer of intimidation as a ruthless criminal figure whose expectations leave very little room for failure. The ensemble gives the story a constant sense of unease, especially when professional loyalty starts looking suspiciously like a liability. Office politics are exhausting enough without discovering that your colleagues have made you part of the emergency plan.

How to Get Away With Murder

Law school is supposed to prepare students for difficult cases, demanding professors, and an impressive amount of reading. Annalise Keating's classroom has decided to make the extracurricular activities a bit more criminal.

Viola Davis stars as Annalise Keating, a brilliant defense attorney and law professor whose students become entangled in a series of dangerous secrets in How to Get Away with Murder. What begins as an opportunity to learn from one of the most formidable legal minds in the business quickly becomes a complicated web of personal relationships, betrayals, and criminal investigations. Annalise's students are ambitious, intelligent, and very aware that their futures might depend on keeping certain information to themselves.

Davis gives Annalise a commanding presence that makes her difficult to ignore, especially when her confidence begins colliding with the emotional cost of protecting the people around her. The series builds its suspense through relationships that are constantly changing, with classmates becoming confidants, rivals, and occasional liabilities. Each new revelation complicates the group's already fragile dynamic, making the show an addictive binge for anyone who enjoys watching supposedly intelligent people make spectacularly questionable decisions.

Reunion

High-school reunions are already risky social experiments. You show up hoping everyone has matured, only to discover that the same people are still having the same arguments. Add a dead body, and the evening's itinerary becomes more complicated.

Former classmates hoping for a nostalgic evening get more than they bargained for in Reunion, where a high-school reunion becomes a murder investigation after a snowstorm traps the guests together. Lil Rel Howery, Nina Dobrev, and Billy Magnussen lead an ensemble of adults whose old rivalries and unfinished business make the investigation anything but straightforward. Everyone has history, practically nobody is thrilled to see everyone else, and the circumstances make leaving early a rather unrealistic option.

High school has a way of assigning people roles they spend years trying to escape, and this reunion makes slipping back into those old dynamics almost unavoidable. The ensemble's awkward exchanges and clashing personalities give the murder mystery a sense of humor, especially when the characters discover that growing older hasn't necessarily made them any more mature.

Suicide Kings

Friendship is built on trust, loyalty, and occasionally helping someone move apartments. Kidnapping a former mob boss probably shouldn't make the list, but these guys have improvised.

Desperate to rescue a kidnapped friend, several wealthy young men come up with a plan that involves abducting someone with more criminal experience than they have. In Suicide Kings, their hostage is Carlo Bartolucci, portrayed by Christopher Walken, a retired crime boss who quickly realizes his captors are operating several steps beyond their qualifications. What should be a carefully planned negotiation becomes an increasingly uncomfortable evening as suspicions grow and the friends struggle to maintain control.

Walken's calm, sardonic presence makes Carlo an entertaining contrast to the panicking young men surrounding him. He understands the rules of the criminal world far better than they do, and watching him exploit their disagreements gives the movie a wickedly funny edge. Their carefully arranged scheme starts unraveling as personal loyalties come into question, leaving everyone to wonder whether the biggest threat is the man tied to the chair or the friends who put him there.

Bone Tomahawk

A rescue mission sounds heroic until you realize the destination is somewhere nobody in their right mind would willingly visit. Kurt Russell has decided that's a problem for later.

Set in the American frontier, Bone Tomahawk follows Sheriff Franklin Hunt as he assembles a small group to rescue townspeople abducted by a violent group living in remote territory. Russell leads the expedition alongside Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, and Richard Jenkins, whose characters bring different motivations and limitations to an already dangerous journey. The men know they're heading into hostile territory, but the reality waiting for them is far more disturbing than any of them anticipated.

S. Craig Zahler lets the journey unfold with the deliberate pace of an old-fashioned Western, giving the audience time to settle into the characters' conversations and the isolation of the frontier. That patience makes the eventual shift into brutal horror especially jarring, as the rescue party discovers that their determination may not be enough to prepare them for what's waiting. When the film shifts from Western adventure into brutal horror, the contrast is deliberately shocking.
